Leicester V Poole 8/4/17 Ela
SteveLyric2 replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Re the Schlein inclusion, its suggested on the Poole forum that SCB Officer Neil Vatcher said his inclusion was 'legal'!! No explanation as to how or why though. That presumes that a query was made but not upheld??!! It certainly needs to be clarified for the future as it is contradictory at the moment. -

So what your take on the Schlein inclusion then Neil bearing in mind what is stated at the top of the 2017 Team Declarations page on the BSPA website 'Article 18.12.1'?? -

T/Rs are not allowed in any 2-leg aggregate fixture eg KO Cup, SGB play-offs etc. -
Doesn't matter who they have in the pits really as most riders say the same old stuff no matter what questions are asked or by whom!!

I think Ellis Perks is a Poole asset?! -

I think you are correct. This has also been raised on the Poole forum. Although 6.85 + 5% is 7.19 and therefore Schlein's average fits - it should not be allowed for a d/u rider. Hopefully Middlo will lodge a formal protest or wait til the end and have Schlein's scores removed and the meeting result changed?! -
KK should be ok for Swindon as Gorzow are riding Easter Monday NOT Sunday - unless of course he is instructed to stay in Poland to practice??!! Just Kerr missing for the Pirates I imagine.
-
Well done to the Aces - much the better team in both legs. I don't expect this Poole side to do too much in the early season meetings while the averages are being sorted. As Starman correctly says so often - the League is not won until October and I think a Poole team will scrape into the play-offs when as we've seen before anything is possible.

Just in case you weren't aware the Leicester track has been reshaped so what Klindt - or any other rider - did in past seasons there is fairly irrelevant. Scoring 6 points last Saturday while guesting is a far more relevant comparison. Hans returning to where he got his big injury and KK still not firing effectively will see a close Leicester win imo. Still all these early season Cup and League performances could be part of a much bigger plan for when the team averages are revised??!! -
Danny King guesting for KK on Good Friday. KK is in an official GP qualifier in Poland.

Ellis' average makes him a heat leader for Swindon. Averages were supposed to be levelled towards last season's Premier league averages, but Ellis didn't ride PL last year so should have been looked at differently' Anyway he'll be stuck with that high average whilst he's out injured. -

Correct - unless the number 1 is also missing!! -
No more irrelevant than 42 points! I guess they want to take account of the revised race format. They could simply take an average of all 8 teams actual averages at the first set of rider averages for May.

I would think around 75% of posts on this forum are from people who 'weren't actually there'!!
-
Colin Pratt stated in last week's Speedway Star that the revised team limit had not yet been set!! One member of the BSPA has been tasked with coming up with a revised figure - based on teams' performances through to end April.
-
Scott Nicholls will continue with his SGP studio comments with Natalie Quirk. Nigel and Kelvin will continue with their SGP and SGB commentary. Hopefully Natalie and Suzi will alternate in the pits!! Just remember people, BT Sports have Keith Heuwen in their moto team as well!!!!

I think it depends on how good or how much potential a club reckons a new Aussie rider is/has?! If he is reckoned to be able to take the top British league by storm then he is more likely to attract a big deal/contract, including having the flight over, van, workshop, etc paid for by the British club. Obviously not all Aussies are going to be the 'dogs' - some will be the journeymen of the British leagues and there is nothing wrong with that as they mostly do their best to entertain.

I wonder which side will have the support of CFS tonight - with sponsorship interests in both teams?? ;-) -
Yes well done the Aces - you deserved the win, but Poole are not yet out of it with likely r/r for Kerr at the NSS tomorrow. Kurtz looked and was really quick and a lot more 'gutsy' than last year - good improvement. Shanes worth more than what he scored. Heat winners were on average 1 full second faster than last week against Wolves!! KK managing to score more than Chris Holder at KL yet still not happy with his engine or set-up. New engine for next time!! Its not over til its over!! :-)

2017 Marketing "push" By Bspa
SteveLyric2 replied to waytogo28's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I'm fairly certain that the facilities at the Ricoh are far better than any British speedway venue - including the NSS. So if the 'product' includes the venue facility as well as the VFM of the racing then I would agree. -
why???
