Agree SB. It wouldn't be the first time a club has revealed its 1-7 and then had to change it due to wrong info given!!! -
Surely the speedway club have no rights to negotiate any land sale as the site is not theirs?!! They are simply in the hands of others and need to 'keep in with them' as much as possible!!

So have the BSPA got the list order wrong or has someone got the team building points wrongly calculated?! The line-ups are only 'Announcements as advised by each club'!! They are not yet confirmed/approved by the powers that be!! Could be interesting when the averages are finally confirmed. The 2 in question are obviously Gomolski (7.71?) and Lebedevs (?) both of whom have missed at least one UK season - all the others are on the BSPA Final CMAs list for team building!! -
Ah well lets see if another Poole topic gets people going............?! Congratulations to Middlo at being elected President of the World Speedway Riders Association (WRSA) as from Sunday's ceremony at Broxbourne! :-) PS. A reminder to all 2016 Poole Season Voucher holders that they have til Monday at 3pm to re-claim their reserved seats for 2017 otherwise the seats will be re-allocated to new applicants. MF reports a very positive take up of new applications despite (or because of?) the sports changes for the new season.

Hans' first UK meeting will be the PK Final Farewell at Monmore - getting in some practice before the Elite Shield!!
-
Maybe after being out of the country for a month and 'sleeping on the situation' as well as taking into account GP's position on the Speedway Control Bureau, he's decided not to make further comment?! His prerogative I would have thought!
-
Are Swindon greyhounds still operating? If so then presumably Stadia UK will want that to continue?!
-
Weren't Coventry and Belle Vue due to 'share' some NL fixtures? Maybe the Bees will look to the NSS to stage some fixtures if Brandon is delayed after June?
-
I hope the fans forum is reported for those unable to attend - and for fans everywhere.

The article actually states he has regained virtually all use of the hand/finger for normal strength, but hasn't yet tested it out on a bike. He is looking forward to the season starting.

Will Coventry Complete The Season?

Please don't let his forum name fool you into thinking he's a Poole fan!!!!!!! ;-) -
Again its about having that choice. Any 'reasonable' stadium should at least be able to give punters the choice of whether to sit or stand - especially when paying £17 or £18 minimum for the privilege!. The fact that some don't is all part of the many reasons why some supporters have drifted away.
-
But at least you have the choice, FB!!!! ps I thought speedway was supposed to get your blood pumping!!
-
Yes interesting that Gomolski should be 7.71 (5.51 x 1.4) and Lebedevs is higher??!! Or it could be that BSPA have just got the order wrong. Lebedevs last average (2013 before he was replaced by Kozza Smith?) was still the assessed 4.50 I believe which would give him 6.30 - unless 2013 has been deemed 'too long ago' and he's been reassessed higher? But he would have to be reassessed on 8 to be higher than Kacper in the riding order!!
-
There are plenty in the 40-50+ age group that have dodgy joints or other health issues that require them to be able to sit down. I'm not aware of too many other sports/entertainment venues where you cannot get a seat if that is your choice!! Even speedway riders get the chance to sit down between heats!! I even sit down in a lap-dancing venue!!
-
A great bit of promotion from Mick Horton. Something other clubs could learn from - and I never thought I'd ever be saying that!!? ;-)
-
Maybe tracks should simply use the 'startgate' idea as in horse or greyhound racing?! 4 gates keeping the riders seperate and a mechanical hare to start them off. It wouldn't then be in the referee's hands to stop it. Riders could then try to anticipate the hare to get a jump start as part of their 'skillset', if they thought it possible.
-
That was based upon similar track shape as Cardiff!!
-
One of the reasons there is no 'standardised' pricing policy is because every club has a different cost/revenue base as well as having very different connurbations, catchment areas and demographics!! What works for one club may not work for another.

Good to read Kyle Newman's assessment of the team and its 2017 aspirations in the local paper today. -
Although prompting some debate on the Poole forum, as someone has mentioned, what I also don't understand is what is the relevance of the article in the local paper? Lets hope it doesn't deter too many more people from supporting - including possible sponsors!! Incidentally it seems Poole's admission charges are staying the same as in 2016. At least they are not increasing to £18 like some....

One would think that a sport that 'goes left' so many times in every meeting, would suit the BBC down to the ground!!! ;-)
