  1. Exclusive interview with Davey Watt in Thursday's (4/05) Bournemouth Echo. Interview was given on Monday at Poole where Davey was in the restaurant.
  2. Why not ring or email the office - the contact details are on the website!!
  3. Just to throw other names into the mix (as I'd hate to see this thread end) - how about Miedzinski, Zengota or Smolinski??
  4. Did my eyes deceive me but did only Middlo and 5 of the Poole team do the track walk last night??!
  5. Just got back in from that Pirates debacle. Well done to the Robins - I've already congratulated Rosco personally - they adapted to the track conditions far far better than Poole and also brought their gating gloves. Poole were dire in the first half of the meeting, when the damage was done, including giving KK the T/r in heat 6 but the Pirates then came back and won the final 8 heats 30 - 18, as the track dried out. Same track for both teams so again -WELL DONE SWINDON ROBINS!!
  6. Its fine and sunny at the moment (approx 5 miles east of the stadium) there have been some showers but the latest weather charts show the big swirl of rain off the south/south west coast has gone further south than first predicted. Still the chance of a slight shower later but all good at the moment.
  7. Its been quite heavy rain overnight but seems to have dried and cleared first thing this morning. Keep a watch on the weather and all forecasts people!!
  8. The problem being that the 'top 2' haven't been scoring like the top 2 have they?!
  9. The Torun score is more to do with the performance of Walasek and the 2 reserves - 4 points between them so far!!!
  10. I think speedway racing is the dogs bollox - compared to watching the dogs bollox chasing a hare for a couple of laps!!
  11. Isn't it just as easy to post the link to the press release rather than repeat the whole thing using bandwidth etc?!
  12. Bearing in mind the 1.4 factor was introduced to try to have all riders on an equivalent 2016 Premier League average, so the new SCBP and SCBC would be closer together in abilities, then I think every current rider's 'real' average after 4Home/4Away meetings should be what it is for both leagues. eg if Tungate finishes on 4.00 then that should be the average whether he moves to another SCBP team or to the SCBC.
  13. According to the Rye House website they've had a new delivery of shale for Monday!!! Maybe Gerald can 'borrow' some when he makes his way back to Poole in the week?!
  14. Does anyone know if the current Swindon stadium runs at a profit with just greyhounds and anything else non-speedway?! Just asking.
  15. Starkey's not the only rider scoring well in the SGBC but not doing so well in the SGBP!!
  16. Surely if Rebals are going to get a new number 1 then they should act while Tungate's Average is still 9.03. When it drops to 4. something, why would the 1.4 factor be applied if he got a chance in the SGBChampionship??
  17. Should keep the dust down on Sunday then!!! Those greyhounds can cause a helluva breeze as they whiz round!! lol
  18. Didn't seem to put him off at Coventry in 2015 - you know on the Sky meeting that was curtailed at heat 10 with Watt (8+1) and Holder (6) out on the track ready to race, but the Bees refusing to send any riders out!!!! lol ;-)
  19. Too much shale for the Darcy meeting (just ask Doyley)!! Not enough since. Can't win really, although most of the Poole boys and several away riders seem to adjust their set-ups to do ok. Morris had his best ever score at WR on Good Friday's daytime meeting when guesting despite blowing his engine(s).
  20. The plan for flats published by Poole Council shows an identified area close to the main Wimborne Road currently occupied by a derelict office block. It extends into the part of the lorry park to the left of the main service approach road and car park entrance. The rest of the car park area will only be affected if the footprint of the actual stadium is altered. There is currently no existing plan to do this. The only suggested plan for the stadium was floated by local developer Eddie Mitchell 3 years ago when he was trying to get Poole Town FC back into the stadium - THIS IS NOT HAPPENING EITHER. As for parking, the school next to the stadium is regularly used for additional parking.
  21. Just to confirm despite what it states in the Speedway Star, this meeting DOES commence at 6pm!! There are 2 references in the Star - one says 7.30pm and the other 5pm???!!
  22. According to his Polish club he can 'still be called upon in an emergency'!!??
