You must be reading something on the Poole forum that I can't see!! No reference to big changes by Matt or any of the posters - in fact Matt has stated that he's going to stick with KK and is confident he'll get it together!! I would suggest that the 2 riders referred to by Matt are Milik and a.n.other not affected by Poland's 3 league rules. After all maybe its not totally out of the realms of possibility that riders could drop Sweden - especially if they are not being paid as promised. Wasn't it Indianerna that NKI, Antonio and Freddie had all sorts of financial issues with last year?! Alternatively with Munkebo (Felstead?) in the Danish league going bust yesterday, other riders may be freed up?! (Hans is now out of a Danish league team)

Very sad. Only met him once when we used to travel up to Blunsdon on Saturday nights. Nice guy. R.I.P.

Poole Pirates Vs Rye House Rockets 10/5/17

I have to agree with SS on this - there was noticeably less dust last night than in previous weeks!! As to why little water was put down during the meeting then you need to 'blame' the riders!! They do not like the track to be heavily watered once racing has commenced because it mucks up their set-ups and can be even more dangerous. As to Rye, I was interested - almost astounded - at reading the team manager comments on the RH website this morning. OK Scotty admitted to choosing the wrong engine?! But the apology over getting the T/R wrong was all about using Wells rather than Harris in heat 10!! No mention of why he didn't use Bomber in heat 7, which most fans near me had already pencilled into their scoresheet - a 1-5 could so easily been a 1-8!! -
Why on earth would Poole get rid of Shanes??? He's made a couple of changes to his set-up and is now scoring more than is expected of him. Everything he says and does is about pleasing the crowd - a great asset to have and something so many other riders could learn from!!

The reference to Milik was taken from Matt Ford's programme notes 'Matt's Mandate' which stated:- "I can tell you we have been in touch with Vaclav Milik. I would welcome him back at any point he feels he is able to commit because I think he has become a quite excellent rider and would love to work with him again. At this point he cannot commit to the uk but that may change sooner rather than later!" As for the meeting Morris rode very well at number 1(!) and made a good pairing with Jack Holder. His d/q in heat 13 was as a result of his 2nd official warning!! Morris mentioned when interviewed that "it had taken him 5 years to learn the Poole track, and now he enjoyed coming here!!" -

There's nothing in today's Echo quoting MF as saying anything of the sort. The only reference to the line-ups is the alphabetical order - which obviously shows Andersen first!!! -

Correct. Morris at 1; Hans as usual at 5. The only clarification re the riding order is whether Kyle slots in at 3 or 4. I would think 3 (as Kerr) leaving Brady to continue successfully at 4. What news??? Please provide the link or reference. Poole have not redeclared so the original averages still apply. If current averages are applied then Brady would be at 1. -
"The most media savy (savvy) rider in the world"!? Precisely what 'world media' is he particularly savvy with??! Tattoo Monthly?! (and I have no issues with his tats). Neither do I have any issues as to where he chooses to ride his league speedway, but to refuse to ride for Team GB in the World Cup and then expect to be included in a Team GB pairing because its on his home track in Poland is taking the mickey imo. Yes I know BSPA contacted him, but I guess to check his stance and availability rather than saying he's in the team - and to then start dictating who his partner should be is just a tad arrogant imo. The only bit of 'media savviness' in this instance is getting in first on social media, before the (other side of the) story breaks elsewhere!!

If Poole regain their abilities to gate in the first 7 heats then I predict a 50-40 win. -
Matt F says he's keeping faith with KK as he expects him to come good, despite 2 riders of similar average offering their services to come to Wimborne Road. KK has an op scheduled for tomorrow (Thursday) to pin the collarbone, so with Poole's next meeting being away at Monmore on 29th May for which a guest will likely be used - as with the first 2 June meetings. That way KK retains his starting average for longer!!! ;-)

The lower than expected BH attendance v Swindon was as much to do with the weather forecasted and the hail/rain storm at 4pm (gates due to open at 4.30) than anything else!! I had several messages from fans who were going to attend but simply didn't think the meeting would be concluded!! (Having witnessed the performance - I wish it hadn't been concluded!!) ;-) -

Wouldn't it have meant flying Freddie in, whereas Kenneth is UK-based?!! -
KK's doctors have said 4 weeks! KK says he'll be back sooner. After Wednesday Poole have virtually 3 weeks off til the Bank Holiday Monday at Wolves, when only BV and KL are not racing - plenty of suitable guest options there!!

Shamek is already doing 3 leagues. KK's doctors say he's out for 4 weeks - KK says he'll be back sooner than that. Poole have no meetings after Rye on Wednesday until Wolves away on 29th and then Leicester away on 3rd June. KK's only ridden 1 Home/3 Away league meetings so its a long time before he gets a new average. Plenty of time to consider all the options. -

Couldn't have Holder anyway - his average is too high even to guest!! That's why he was left out of the 1-7 in the first place!! (Well one of the reasons anyway!! ) -
What multipliers?? All riders will have 'real' averages after 4H/4A meetings, unless a team wants to redeclare before riders have done 4H/4A when the BSPA will give riders a revised assessed CMA, based upon their scores so far this season. That's why current CMA's are updated and shown on the BSPA website.

Hopefully Freddie Lindgren can guest on Wednesday - if not then I would think Cook, Morris or Bjerre would come into consideration -, then plenty of time to sort any longer term options out til Poole's next meeting on 29th. -

Can't remember the last time Pirates lost consecutive home league meetings so with the weather forecast suggesting a warm dry day and therefore a slick, dusty track, I'm going for a 49-41 Pirates win. -
Its been very quiet on the Adam Ellis front!! Any updates?
-
Re Kerr covering for Newman - it is a MINIMUM 28 day deal!! Kerr first rode on 5th April. I don't think it really matters whether Lewis or Kyle rides on Wednesday 10th as Poole's next meeting is not til 29th!! Having said that I think it would be better for Kyle to return in a home meeting!!
-
I think KK will ride on Wednesday - there's no real (dis)advantage one way or another as I doubt any potential replacement could be agreed and available in time. Wednesday (10/05) is Poole's last home meeting for almost 4 weeks and KK won't have done his 4H/4A meetings to reduce his average until late June - even if he stays.

There is no way Poole will keep both Kyle and Louis!! BTW, haven't seen it anywhere else so a Poole v Swindon thread seems appropriate - Happy Birthday Darcy!!
