The only reason there is talk of replacing Klindt is because of his injuries. Its no good turning up to just ride, if you can't race and score the sort of points that your average suggests should be achieveable in at least every home meeting!! With the new averages, r/r for Klindt would only give Holder, Starke and Shanes the extra rides, and with still some uncertainty over what KK will score, that leaves us too weak for the run-in, without some changes - imo!

I would imagine Hans has been sounding out several of the Danish, Swedish, Polish riders in the Danish league!! The potential issues there being clashes of Wednesday night fixtures. Other options, Wozniak, Walasek, THJ, Woryna,

New Averages For 42 Point Limit
SteveLyric2 replied to DunRobin's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
New averages are on BSPA website this morning - effective Monday 10th July. -
One of the more immediate challenges MF has is if Klindt returns and only scores like he did against Belle Vue (or in the SEC for that matter), then his average will drop further before the cut-off (July 28th, effective 31st), which will make it even more difficult to get a replacement that fits the average. Those mid-July meetings are home and away against Kings Lynn and Wolves before we host Somerset on 26th July

The Race For The Play-offs

At least he dyed it blue!! -
With KK's new reassessed average of 9.23 that puts Poole on 44.75. Based on the latest official averages, if KK (9.23) and Klindt (6.36) were to be replaced that would give Poole 12.84 for 2 riders to keep within the 42 point limit. For arguments sake, Wozniak (5.92) and Kennett (6.88) would fit nicely in a 1-7 that would read something like 1.Kurtz; 2.Holder; 3.Kennett; 4. Wozniak; 5. Andersen; 6.Starke; 7. Shanes. There are other options like Jonsson (8.45) and Perks (4.08), which would put Perks at reserve and Starke in as a 2nd string. Simply playing with numbers...............! Good!!

A new injury or still concussed for Nick??

He will if the moneys right and the Czech league fixtures finish in time or he drops Sweden!!

Several weeks ago in the Speedy Star there was an interview with one of Poland's senior administrators - it may have been the Torun chief? - who suggested that the aim of their Extraleague was to have ONLY Polish riders in it. That may be a couple of years away yet even if its still their aim(?), but what are the 'top' riders going to do then? Not sure that Sweden is financially secure enough to pay out even more than they do now, so the top riders will have to lower their own financial aspirations if they want to ride anywhere!! That'll give GB promoters a bit more negotiating clout as they'll be in a stronger position to say 'take it or leave it' to the riders!
-
Already is.......in Brady Kurtz!! lol Not sure how Gomolski would fit on 6.43 unless more than one change is to be made----------which is always a possibility!!

...or stop getting paid??!!

Not sure what machinery Milik was using at Kings Lynn as he did really well in Torun the evening before in the SEC Euros, but its all academic anyway unless one of his leagues fixtures finish before July 31st. His name keeps cropping up because MF admitted he was one of the targets for the start of the season prior to the Polish Extraleague introducing their new rules, and 'may be available later in the season'? - as was Vaculik. No secret it was all reported at the time.

Poole V Belle Vue Bt Sports 26/6/17
SteveLyric2 replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Oh dear, does that mean I'm not one of the 'best' supporters too?! I'll be there on 12th and health permitting at every other home meeting this season as I've already paid and my seat has a back to it too!! -
Anyone know what averages are being used for Barker and Sedgman, - and the other Rye riders - as the 'official' BSPA figures would seem to suggest these changes are not possible under the new 42 team building limit?! Or maybe my abacus is a bit warped!
-
Milik needs to drop one of his 3 leagues (Sweden?) if he is to be considered again by Matt. The bigger question is whether MF will be as ruthless as the Rye House promotion?!
-
I shall be very interested to see how KK goes in this meeting also.

So 8 days and 37 pages in and this meeting thread is still going - even though most of the posts since the meeting on Monday are totally irrelevant!! Maybe mods can now close the thread?! -

...and therefore found not guilty!! -
Why would new riders come in with a 1.4 multiplied average if clubs are no longer building to 50 points? Walasek and Wozniak both have averages below 6.00 from their last stint (2016) at Leicester. The real coup would be if Matt could persuade his earlier target Milik to drop Sweden and come in on his 5.67 average. That would no doubt get the forum going into overdrive again.

There are 2 or 3 Danes who might fit the bill to replace Nicolai - but there could be the issue of fixture clashes with the Danish League. Michelsen, Bech etc?? As indeed there are one or two Poles - Walasek, Wozniak and others.........?? Interesting comments about the track by Brady. He describes the track as a 'great race track' which has gone 'too soft'??!! But reckons it can be easily sorted before the next home meeting?! Not sure what that means other than getting some new proper shale in and packing it down. I expect the airwaves between Poole and Spain have been quite hot this week!! :-)

Oh ffs. Yet another poole thread descends into personal negative bickering - exactly the sort of thing that caused the Poole forum to be closed down (although the new 'unofficial' one is already up and running on Proboards!!) This is becoming boring and I might well give this forum a miss now. Incidentally just to add my six-pennyworth to the views about Starman. Aside from what posters may think or say about many of his posts, I think its wrong and incorrect to refer to him as a 'free-loader'. Speedway would simply not exist without volunteers and Starman takes on a number of tasks around the stadium every week - not just on race days either. Spending much of the preceding 4 days prior to the BT meeting painting, tidying, cleaning etc at the track is certainly not 'freeloading'!! All power to all Speedway's voluntary helpers - long may they continue.
