  1. Cook is down to ride on Monday so unless he tweaks his back again should be riding Wednesday - unless the weather gets the better of the meeting which looks very likely on today's forecast. Aside from riders' form is the riding order imo, but we'll see...... Not sure if Middlo is back for this one or its still MF as Team Manager?
  2. Yet another weird riding order from the Poole management!! At least Hans is showing top form in Poland today.
  3. Top scored for Lodz today with 14 points. Lets hope he brings some of that to theNSS tomorrow.
  4. Holder should be available for the Wolves away fixture on 14th August!!
  5. Not sure whether Cook riding (or not) for BV would make much difference to be honest. All the other riders can take an r/r ride so hardly weakens them - unless any of those riders are below par?! Hopefully Jack's outing for Torun today will get him into 'big track' mode for Monday at least and Hans, Timo and Richie can bring their 'A' game!!
  6. That's one of the problems with how some rules are worded by the BSPA/SCB - they can be open to misinterpretation. In this particular case why not have 'heat 15 to be contested by 2 of the top 4 or 5 scorers from each side, based on programmed rides'!? (If r/r or IRR in operation then the highest scoring reserve could be nominated).
  7. Very good interview with Matt Ford on Saturday's BBC Radio Solent Summer Sport programme. Up front and honest about the team's current predicament and still hopeful that the team can find some decent form. Particularly keen for certain riders that are scoring well abroad but not well enough here to improve asap - actually naming Hans and Timo in particular.
  8. So a rule made by the British authorities for British League racing should apply to all racing should it?! I bet Chris Holder would love his British 28 day ban to apply everywhere??! lol
  9. As much as most Poole fans wanted rid of KK, if Matt was struggling to replace him with a 'top' rider on his 9.23 average - as he admitted he was -, then surely KK would have been worth sticking with for another week (2 more meetings before the cut-off) as a 2nd string on 5.51. If he still didn't perform then Eddie could still have come in before the cut-off as that 1-7 is below the 42 point limit. It only goes above 42 points when Brady returns from injury to replace Richie. Anyway another loan fee to keep the cash flow going!!
  10. Especially as Rosco was in the pits to witness it first hand!!
  11. Well I've certainly read some bullrubbish on this forum over the years, but much in the past 24 hours beats the lot!! Just to say I'm pleased Hagonshocker is well-informed!! ;-)
  12. Neither will many Poole fans A ORLOV!! Nor the return on Wednesday.
  13. The issue is the current 1-7 'goes around' - just not quick enough!! Yes that surprised me too. I was of the same opinion as Najjer!! He's completed 8 meetings but only 3 at home and 5 away. 'Special dispensation' I guess?!! Thought I should just switch this over from the 2018 thread!! (Maybe I should put it on last night's meeting thread!) Skidder1, on 21 Jul 2017 - 7:04 PM, said: Oooh, I'm gonna save this post and re-post it when the time comes!!!!!
  14. I know its the national pastime to knock Poole, but lets not take anything away from the Somerset lads who rode like they really wanted it - just as they should do.
  15. It seems like several of the Robins like to 'roll on the current track' so seems only fair that they would want to 'roll on the new one'!! But seriously, a big well done to the Robins - certainly the team in form and could easily top the play - off positions giving them choice of opponents. I hope young Wajtknecht is ok after his spleen injury. Poole at the moment can't seem to gate for toffee and can only look forward to Brady's return - but only if he's fully fit - and in the meantime look to avoid 6th place!!
  16. None last night as far as I'm aware but then I'm not on Twitter so can't be sure. All I do know is that we could easily have had another 'Kings Lynn' situation had the track shale not been bladed off at around 6.30 pm. The gates were not opened til 6.45 (I was in early as I was sponsoring the meeting !!)
  17. Unless he's still required for 'practice' or team bonding etc in Poland?!
  18. Why would any club want both - when they both like entirely different track conditions?!! ;-)
  19. Maybe just a one-off so no priority required. No Poole or Peterboro meetings on Sunday. Hope he makes it back for Monday?!
  20. So its fine for riders to go public with their moans (incidentally when the promoter was away!!) but not for the club owner who pays their wages?! Strange logic.
  21. Which Poole Pirate are the Aces going to be facing? Its gonna be hard enough with all 7!!! lol
  22. If the line-up on the Swindon website is correct then it has changed from last night - but probably not the way most Poole fans would have wanted?!
  23. ....and approx. 70% of them wouldn't improve the team!!!
  24. Rosco was in the pits at Poole last night - not sure why?? ;-)
