  1. Well you'll be able to see for yourself Steve0 as it won't be Poole now.
  2. Well if CH is in Poole's plans for next year, he won't be able to start the season will he? Unless there is some sort of appeal by CH and/or Poole that might reduce the length of the ban for about a month?!
  3. Aah I'm touched at the concern from several posters about my wellbeing (or maybe after the past few weeks simply 'touched'!!?) - I was delayed last night at the stadium, busy autographing the photo in the matchday programme of me and Richie Worrall from the meeting I DID sponsor. Only just had the chance to check out the forums this pm as I have lots of other responsibilities on Fridays. No point me attempting to summarise a meeting that has already been well and truly summed up by others who were there - other than to say what an awful night it was and the team need some serious gating practice. I was actually sat behind Brady's Mum and Dad who were the quietest I've ever witnessed - at least they hade Todd's performance at Sheffield to keep them interested!! As is the case when there is little to cheer about the home team or the racing there was considerable chat amongst fans and some sponsors, with some interesting 'rumours'!! For example, 1. will Poole have a different team manager next season? 2. Anyone seeking to move to the Broadstone/Poole area may well find the choice of properties has increased recently. 3. Did we hear from the office 'Yes I know its my fault - there are 4 riders who shouldn't be in the team'!? 4. Was the first rider in the 2018 1-7 signed this week (a rider not riding in UK this year)??! I'll leave you all to ponder on those..... Oh and btw well done Rye House, well deserved trouncing - I loved the way the whole team walked around the track at the end to applaud the fans. I shall enjoy watching the Somerset, Rye House and Kings Lynn (?) battle for the 4th spot whilst Poole now concentrate on retaining some sort of decent crowd for the rest of this season and continue with their 2018 70th year arrangements.
  4. My guess for Brady's first meeting back when he might still be a little 'sluggish', is 1.Kurtz; 2. Kennett; 3. Holder; 4. Lahti; 5. Andersen; 6.Starke; 7. Shanes. Otherwise 1.Kurtz; 2. Holder; 3. Lahti; 4.Kennett; 5. Andersen; 6. Starke; 7. Shanes.
  5. Quote from today's Echo:- Middlo 'would like both Holders - Chris and Jack - in the Poole side for 2018'! BUT 'its MF's decision as to which riders are signed!'
  6. MF has already begun announcing some of the 70th Anniversary stuff - individual meeting on March 23rd - including appearances by Mark Loram and Tony Rickardsson. Plus there is a strong 'word on the street' that a new Main Team sponsor is already in place!! If 2018 season is to be one of MF's last then expect some of Poole's assets to be called upon for a final 'favour' - subject to the points limit?!
  7. Rosco confirmed for BT Sport so Scott Nicholls will line up for Rye.
  8. I'm not presuming anything - including one big league!! There are not enough riders around for one big league, aside from all the extra travel costs for riders/clubs to cover. Much more likely to go with regionalised divisions first, possibly with one being structured to be stronger than the other - although how that will work with the promotion/relegation result taken into account, who knows? We'll need to see what rules and regs and contracts are on offer in Poland Sweden and the UK, as well as who may be making the decisions at various clubs and leagues??! With 2018 being Poole's 70th Anniversary year (and Gavan's correct, even more so after this year) MF will undoubtedly be going all out for a crowd pleasing and winning team!!
  9. What will be really interesting to see over the winter is what happens to the Swedish League? Already stated that its unlikely to have 2 leagues as there aren't enough clubs financially sound enough along with hardly any Swedish riders coming through! Many riders will have some serious choices to make before next season - amd many won't have a choice at all!!
  10. Its amazing that there are still those that believe the only reason Noddy didn't ride for Poole this year was his inflated high average?! However nothing lasts forever so depending on whether there is a stupidly low points limit and/or the Poles play ball with their rules then a top 3 of Magic, Brady and Holder © isn't out of the question, with Holder (J) and Klindt in the 2nd string positions and Newman at reserve.
  11. This 'lack of cameras' coverage is the first time I've noticed anything wrong with BT's coverage. If it was a BT cost-cutting exercise at Kings Lynn last night, its hardly surprising that they didn't take truckloads of kit with the likelihood that the meeting might be called off at the drop of a hat?! ;-) ;-)
  12. On Bank Holiday Monday who has priority over Cook and Worrall? Belle Vue or Workington/Newcastle? Bearing in mind the Poole v BV fixture is rearranged. Similarly in the evening with Robson? Rye House or Newcastle?
  13. I thought 'current form' was irrelevant with your meeting predictions wind-ups Gavan?! Thought it was purely down to how the team performed in previous fixtures Gavan?!
  14. Brady is back Thursday as long as he is fully fit. Its not inconceiveable that Richie (if fit himself) could do more meetings - its a MINIMUM 28 day contract!!
  15. Once James Shanes beats KK in heat 2, Pirates will be fine!! lol
  16. FIXTURE UPDATE!! A busy day for the Pirates...... Poole v Belle Vue, Bank Holiday Monday 28th August at 11.00 am (before Pirates go to Rye House in the evening.)
  17. I was hoping to see the BSPA Chairman present the prestigious BSPA Championship 4's trophy to the winners today - but apparently he didn't?!
  18. So if the Polish Extraleague do bring in their rumoured 'only one other league' ruling for 2018 that will mean the likes of Jack Holder may have to consider which British league he rides in - and for that matter whether he agrees to ride for Torun who look odds on to be relegated!! Jack says he wants to race for the Panthers again next season, so presumably Peterborough will be changing their race day to accommodate him??! ;-)
  19. The Torun hierarchy forced Pawel to race today because of Miedzinski's 'last minute' injury withdrawal. However 10 from 5 rides is about what Miedzinski would have scored. If Adrian had been fit then Torun would have done better to use Prezdpelski to cover for Hancock, as J.Holder came back to reality and only scored 5 + 1 from 5 in yet another Torun home defeat!! (ps they are having worse season than Poole!!)
  20. As he's not getting a ban then I guess if he makes himself available to British speedway next year then several clubs will be after his signature. He says he wants to race for the Panthers again next year so I presume the Panthers will be changing their race day?!
  21. Any BSPA sanctions will be taken against the Peterborough promotion - even though the Panthers 4 still won the 4's today without Jack!!!
