As far as Lambert is concerned I'm not sure he would be a good fit at Poole?! Its not just about his scores its the effect in the pits - he's not the best of 'team players', or so it seems!!

Not riding in the Championship because of offers already on the table in Poland and Sweden and due to sit down with Buster after the AGM (although not sure why he has to wait til then as Buster should know what is being proposed already!?)

Can't see Kyle back as he will presumably still want to race with Ipswich if they come up?! So not sure about Hans. Yes he's been a solid steady captain this year, but of a poor team. If MF struggles to get a 3rd heat leader then yes possibly Hans, but there are better, younger riders likely to be available Brady and Woryna (and a.n other) are nailed on imo. If MF can get 2 decent heat leaders with Brady as the 3rd then we should have a much better season. As much as I've really enjoyed Shanesy - both for his riding and his attitude - it'll depend on what the rules are going to be about the number of Brits in each top team. Shanesy needs more speedway at Championship level if he can fit that around his Long and Grasstrack commitments. I'll be keeping my eye on the final 2 GP rounds as to who makes the top 8 and the likely wild cards?! Vaculik could be an outside choice.

Pearson getting the score difference wrong after heat 11 at Blunsdon and trying to 'big up' the importance of the last 2 heats when most were perfectly aware the match was already deservedly won by Swindon. Still he did manage to get at least 2 mentions of Woffy in even though as usual they were totally unrelated to the live action!!! lol

I really won't have any issues with the end result as long as Poole ride to their best form and there are no e/fs or crashes for either side and the ref is consistent throughout. Whoever wins what I expect and hope will be a very tight meeting, I will be supporting them in the final. ;-) Lets hope the track guys can start doing their thing in plenty of time after the greyhounds finish.

After a very late night and a longer than usual lie-in I think I may have woken up in 'cloud-cuckoo' land!!! For far too many years the BSPA Championship clubs (with the help of a Championship promoter as Chairman) have outnumbered and often out voted their Premiership colleagues on a number of important issues!!! One example, when the 'draft reserve' system was introduced to 'weaken' the top league, the then Elite clubs proposed a reduction in admission prices to reflect the 'weaker' product. This was out voted by the then PL clubs who were in some cases only charging £1 less than the Elite clubs but who said they couldn't afford to drop their prices. The '2-Brit' reserves should have been first adopted by the Championship clubs - but yet again NO - it was up to the Premiership teams to 'bite that particular bullet'! Finally, despite all the doom and gloom merchants - how many Premiership/Elite clubs have disappeared by going bust in recent years, as against the number of Championship/PL clubs threatening to do so?!
