  1. Local paper (Echo) says Covatti rides at 1 tomorrow for Plymouth - assuming it's not rained off!?
  2. If the racing is good but home losses become too regular then attendances drop. There were some good races and some processional on Wednesday - a similar mix at most tracks I suggest - and the result/scoreline got excellent regional media coverage with most in the crowd going home happy and looking forward to next week's meeting vs Plymouth.
  3. Why make someone who is not extrovert and chatty and has a complex character, the team captain? Also if home domination makes for 'poor entertainment', why do Poole's larger than most attendances seem more than happy and keep coming back?
  4. I think thats why Plymouth have switched to Saturdays, except for GP weeks!
  5. Agree 100%. Good to get 'Sweet Caroline' back after heat 14 though! Great music choices by SGP DJ Karlito I thought too. Using 'Like a Virgin' after Batch's first win was genius.
  6. For reference there were 11 heat wins of 60.0o secs or quicker, 58.65 in heat 5 by Tom Brennan the fastest. Great track prep by Terry the Track (Happy Birthday BTW Terry).
  7. Wow heat 11 already and still waiting for Worky to turn up!! So poor compared to last night.
  8. Except for his pre-meeting opinion as to what the best gates would be..........!! Otherwise spot on.
  9. Depends on how many rolling starts he (and Batch!) gets away with?! Hope the ref, Mr Carrington is on the ball this evening! After watching the Plymouth/Worky meeting last night, Pirates will need their gating gloves on. 49-41 I reckon.
  10. What is club sponsorship like in Sweden? Is there still good interest and good funding?
  11. Lets hope its a strong ref who keeps a beady eye on any 'rolling starts'!!! Same applies at Wimborne Road on Wednesday.....!
  12. Lets hope Poole DJ Karlito gets back from Warsaw and has time to look out the 'Rawhide' theme music!!
  13. Unhappy at not being contacted for his own comments!!
  14. Zach's average has actually increased so far this season 6.22 to 6.51. I hear that he was particularly unhappy with the Echo article and the 'official' report of his injuries, as rather than 'lower back' and 'abdomen'. it was his wrist that was giving him most pain - which might better explain his lack of gating prowess at Oxford!!
  15. Nice 'Off The Beaten Track' article in this week's SS re Poole's Matt Ford selling his Chateau in France!!
  16. Job done then! It makes a change - its usually Poole!
  17. Rider wages are not the only cost in running a speedway team! If only........
  18. Congrats to Sam Hagon for getting his Premiership Rising Star place with Leicester.
