  1. ...and all properly and correctly effective from 1st June 2018!!
  2. Anything better than the 18 point capitulation in April will be a welcome improvement. It'll all be down to set-ups, gating and knowledge of the 'Karlsson Corridor'!!
  3. Speedway-wise he's never had a ban before! Personally, he's never had to deal with anything like the same issues in those same 8 years. Matt Ford - and others at Poole - has been fully behind helping and supporting him in every practical way possible with his visa/work permit issues and advising as best they can on his other complex personal issues in the UK.
  4. Not the team they started with they didn't!!!
  5. He has a passport - presumably an Aussie one - but to get a UK visa or UK work permit he has to have a job as his employer would need to support/sponsor the application, which Poole did, but bear in mind the application process could not be started until his BSPA/ACU ban had ended, then he's just another in the long queue with no more clout than any other eg Roman Abrahmavich?! I doubt whether Motorcycling Australia (MA) would have been on the case despite any best efforts by Mark Lemon!! His other personal issues, some of which have legal ramifications (probably why there has been no official public comment), are progressing as far as I understand but have also been a serious distraction and possibly even affecting the visa process?! As for the Cardiff GP, a specific visa may have been 'sponsored' and obtained by BSI. (Not sure about the latter but it has been mentioned as such?!)
  6. The new averages on the SGB website state they are effective from 30/05/18 - which is contrary to what the rules actually state.
  7. He has to have a job otherwise he couldn't get a UK visa/work permit!!! The rest of his issues are highly personal and still somewhat complex and its only down to Chris to decide when or if he goes public. Of course the longer it goes on the more the 'chinese whispers' accumulate!!
  8. Correct Lisa. Assuming there are enough points to play with up to 42.50, I can see the poles taking the 2 reserve spots and someone (an asset) like Klindt, Gomolski or THJ coming back in!?
  9. Lahti is going really well on the continent!! Anyway back to last night, the track was done to the riders request after a long post-meeting 'lock-in' after last week's meeting!! The forecasted evening showers duly arrived mid-meeting but were only light and not enough to keep the dust down. Even the 'blue groove' appeared again but on turn 3-4 this time. However Poole's main problem still seems to be the inability to consistently gate!! Linus picked up Rider of the Night and fully deserved it in his best meeting so far. I see from earlier comments that Kacper Woryna has been getting some stick, but he provided some great action in some of the best races last night - albeit being taken out of heat 9 by a Kurtz T/S. As for the Poole rumourmill, well it seems there may be further complications for CH's return. Also although there are a couple of 'big-hitters prepared to come in, they both want a 'guarantee' plus flight costs, so I doubt that will be the way forward although you can always suspect that MF has some alternative options - even though they may not be to everyone's liking?! Onwards and upwards (well it can only be upwards....!)
  10. Fair point. Maybe both teams have agreed due to unavailability of other riders and RH are well under the 42.50 limit?
  11. .....and its not as clear cut as just a normal visa application!! there have been other complications.
  12. Matt has already stated in his early season programme notes that Chris's long term future is at Poole and that Jack will benefit from a season away before hopefully rejoining Poole in the future. Obviously as with all line-ups it'll come down to averages fitting the points limit. Not sure why someone suggested some doubt as to whether there would be Premiership racing at Poole next season? I mean its not as if there's promotion/relegation anymore?!
  13. Still a good idea to get there early - gates open 1830 hrs - as the schools footie competition continues from 1845 before the speedway starts.
  14. Good to see 3 Poole riders getting some extra track time this evening - Richie Worrall for Leicester and Brady and Josh for Belle Vue.
  15. Correct. Its the 4th Home meeting of the 4H/4A qualification even including Worrall whose done 8 meetings for us - 7 in 2017 and 1 this year - but only 3H and 5A.
  16. So with only 25% of Premiership meetings completed, where do we think Poole will be after 28 meetings?
  17. If he scores well and gets into the 1-5 allowing the 2 Poles to drop to reserve, then I can see him staying - as always it'll come down to averages and the numbers game.
  18. I'm expecting a very tough meeting for the Pirates. Expect the track to be different - again!! - Its been different for every single home meeting so far! Thorsell finally sussed out the track last year and with Schlein, Masters and Howarth all liking the Wimborne Road circuit, I can see a narrow win for the Wolves unless ALL 7 Pirates have finally found their set-ups and gating gloves!
  19. Nothing to do with averages. Its visa and 'off-track' issues that should be sorted soon - although his injury last night may well again scupper his early return?!
  20. Its not so much that you state your opinion but that you repeat it over and over and over again - usually with a bit of a dig at Poole included. We all get it - you have a thing about Poole - just try to be a bit more innovative and less repetitive! Better still do us all a favour and just give all the Poole threads a break for a while as you've said all there is to say from your perspective!!
  21. No worries BW they'll have another big chance next Wednesday, as Poole try to get their averages down further!
