Philip, I am aware. My point was that BT are more than happy with the SGBP figures which points the way to the continuation of a 'top' league structure in 2019.
-
If there is a chance that BT will continue showing live meetings in 2019 then there will always be a 'top' league!! What level that 'top' league will operate at, what team building limits they will be working towards, how many riders in a team, how many teams and what the race format will be are still up for discussion I guess. I see Newcastle have called a fans forum on Monday and their intention is to inform fans and discuss all things except those that are still currently 'BSPA embargoed'!

I feel sorry for the Swindon main sponsor who also sponsor Cook. Still I'm sure Brady will do well (12 in Sweden last night!) as a guest and gets some more track practice in before Bank Holiday Monday!!

I think it was only last season or maybe the season before (2016?) that not all fixtures were completed. The play-off dates are fixed for TV so I doubt they will be changed. Also I was told by a member of the SCB on Monday that the cut-off will NOT be extended!! -

Thats not dust - thats just the 'thin shale' we've been using. Also its been said many times that modern-day riders don't like the track to be watered once the meeting has started and got past heat 4 because it *ucks up the set-ups!! (NB. * is an 'm' by the way ) -

As Josh said on the BT interview, the last time at the Oaktree he and Brady were rubbish, so there will need to be big improvements all round for the Pirates to get a result. If we can stay within 6 points - great stuff! I think all the top 5 sides are very much of a muchness so this year I don't think it matters quite so much who finishes top before the play-offs. One question remains - will Kings Lynn manage to get all their fixtures in before the cut off of 10th September - or will Buster insist on an extension?! -
The current August GSA's give Brady as 7.05 and Bomber as 7.00, so there could be a chance that come 23rd of this month the September averages could see Bomber at 1 - which would be better for the team imo. Also aside from Frederik's 0,0,0, last night, he will complete his 4 home/4 away meeting average at next Monday's Somerset away meeting and there is every chance that he will be in the 1-5 from the following Monday ie the Bank Holiday Monday. Who will take his place at reserve is anyone's guess at the moment, but should still give us a very strong reserve pairing?!

Damaged ankle but should be ok with it strapped up. -
The article continues that he is considering all his assets as well - but will have to wait to see what rules and regs are agreed before any decisions are made.

How can anyone say there was dust after the rainfall? There was no more racing...! Having said that, dust and rain would give no grip and make the surface like ice - which was exactly the reason given by the riders for stopping. -

It was a question rather than a statement!! I'm sure every club that rents from a stadium owner will have a variety of different details in their rental agreements, so it would be a bit pointless comparing one with another (eg Poole v Peterborough) eh Gemini?! BTW I note that the Leicester meeting report refers to the early stoppage being due to a 'downpour' and 'a heavy shower', rather than claims of a 'light drizzle'!! -

FFS what kind of openness do people expect? The Poole riders gave their opinion at the press conference as to track conditions after the rain yet apparently they are not to be believed?! Not sure how many 'fans' went to the press conference and booed then!!? What are 'fans' going to do? Boo every time Poole riders come out for a race? Oh no of course not - they won't be attending any more will they?! Incidentally has anybody considered that having an interval of x minutes might be written into the rental agreement that the club has with the stadium owners?! If there hadn't been an interval there would have been the usual bleating from those that needed refreshment or needed to use the facilities - the latter being highly likely due to the average age of speedway fans. -

Doubt the track will need much overnight watering with the forecast for Sunday being torrential rain and the occasional light shower on Monday morning! I think this will be a close one but Poole should have the edge - but will it be an edge of more than 6 points? Hmmm... -

A bit late on the forum today due to other priorities, so... Yes I was disappointed with the early call off, but for those that said it was 'just a drizzle', it wasn't as those fans dashing for cover would testify. The rules state that only the losing team can call for the Ref to inspect the track, which he did and presumably then had discussions with both captains - Hans and Josh - as required. I've no idea what was said and can only go on what was said in the post-meeting conference which has already been alluded to - its a shame that no Leicester riders (Hans?) were at the conference to give their view. Leicester had lost the meeting, Josh had completed his 4 rides so it was no skin off his nose to continue. I don't condone any of the booing however disgruntled fans, including myself, may have been. What does annoy me however is that the Poole Promotion get the blame!! My memory went back only a few weeks when I recall a meeting being called off just prior to the gates scheduled opening time at 1830 hours. Who were the opponents that night? Oh yes Leicester and Captain Hans - maybe its a trend??!! Anyway at least for the likes of the many season ticket holders, including me, its onwards and upwards to Monday's top of the table clash with the rebels. -
