  1. They are calculated after Thursday 23rd August and are effective from the first of the next month I believe.
  2. Bomber asked to be taken out because he couldn't get either of his 2 bikes to work!!!
  3. I'm fairly sure that the Visa/work permit issue means that he can't reapply for one year so I guess the correct application will be submitted again 12 moths after the ban ended. Once things are settled again in the UK then (and depending what the league set-up is in 2019) he would be worth the risk imo.
  4. Wolves look as though they may also be missing Schlein and Greaves so unless they adopt a similar attitude to KL and don't use a BV guest
  5. Poole are using r/r for Klindt and have booked Mark Riss for Jacobsen
  6. Only scrapped if they are not paying anything for the 'privelege'!
  7. So presumably the Vice Chair will step up - thats Mr Godfrey isn't it - or is it not automatic and they have to have nominations and a vote. Godfrey seems to only want the lowest common denominator for the league structure which he can afford at Scunny.
  8. Sorry to mention Poole on this thread but they are missing their 2 Danes v Swindon on 22nd!!
  9. Such a shame that Cook's Glasgow meeting at Ipswich was rained off!! Still it gave Kurtz an extra Abbey run-out before the Bank Holiday Monday fixture
  10. Apart from the importance of the meeting itself for both sides, its also the cut-off for the September averages. Although Frederik will complete his 4 home/4 away meetings on Monday at Somerset and his new average will be effective for the Bank Holiday meetings v Somerset (H) and Swindon (A). It'll be interesting to see the reserve positions then.
  11. Philip, I am aware. My point was that BT are more than happy with the SGBP figures which points the way to the continuation of a 'top' league structure in 2019.
  12. If there is a chance that BT will continue showing live meetings in 2019 then there will always be a 'top' league!! What level that 'top' league will operate at, what team building limits they will be working towards, how many riders in a team, how many teams and what the race format will be are still up for discussion I guess. I see Newcastle have called a fans forum on Monday and their intention is to inform fans and discuss all things except those that are still currently 'BSPA embargoed'!
  13. ...but some of those teams rode at home on Monday and don 't have a problem fitting their remaining home fixtures in!!
  14. That was exactly the reason I asked the question!!!!!
  15. The day before, their opponents - Leicester - were already riding!
  16. I feel sorry for the Swindon main sponsor who also sponsor Cook. Still I'm sure Brady will do well (12 in Sweden last night!) as a guest and gets some more track practice in before Bank Holiday Monday!!
  17. I bet the Leicester fans - or those that are left - are well p!$$ed off then!!!!
  18. I think it was only last season or maybe the season before (2016?) that not all fixtures were completed. The play-off dates are fixed for TV so I doubt they will be changed. Also I was told by a member of the SCB on Monday that the cut-off will NOT be extended!!
  19. Thats not dust - thats just the 'thin shale' we've been using. Also its been said many times that modern-day riders don't like the track to be watered once the meeting has started and got past heat 4 because it *ucks up the set-ups!! (NB. * is an 'm' by the way )
  20. As Josh said on the BT interview, the last time at the Oaktree he and Brady were rubbish, so there will need to be big improvements all round for the Pirates to get a result. If we can stay within 6 points - great stuff! I think all the top 5 sides are very much of a muchness so this year I don't think it matters quite so much who finishes top before the play-offs. One question remains - will Kings Lynn manage to get all their fixtures in before the cut off of 10th September - or will Buster insist on an extension?!
  21. The current August GSA's give Brady as 7.05 and Bomber as 7.00, so there could be a chance that come 23rd of this month the September averages could see Bomber at 1 - which would be better for the team imo. Also aside from Frederik's 0,0,0, last night, he will complete his 4 home/4 away meeting average at next Monday's Somerset away meeting and there is every chance that he will be in the 1-5 from the following Monday ie the Bank Holiday Monday. Who will take his place at reserve is anyone's guess at the moment, but should still give us a very strong reserve pairing?!
