  1. The infamous hole on bend 1 did seem to reappear yesterday - hardly surprising as there was so little shale on the track to help protect it due to the previous day's weather!! However Doyley didn't hit the hole - he caught a rut right on the white line on bends1-2 which threw him a wobller and he caught his foot/ankle under the foot rest. I must admit from the grandstand it did look as though he shed a chain but he managed to pootle onto the centre green before sinking to his knees and then onto his back clearly in some pain. Hope he's ok.
  2. If Klindt rides for Poole it will clearly cost MF more money, by way of an agreed fee to the Danes!!! Presumably a similar deal exists in respect of other Danish riders - especially when fixtures are rearranged.
  3. With the remaining fixtures that each team has, the play-offs could still be Somerset, Kings Lynn, Belle Vue, Wolverhampton!!
  4. So from the horses mouth today, if Poole get the right results today ie guaranteed play-off place - then Klindt will ride in Denmark on Wednesday. If there is still some doubt over Poole's play off spot after today then Klindt will line up at Kings Lynn!!
  5. Agree in principle but BSPA/SCB rules cannot dictate what happens in other countries!!
  6. Non-speedway illnesses mean a mandatory 7 day absence. The press release states that Lawson (and Allen and BWD) will miss Monday's and Wednesday's meetings!!
  7. If Rebels go r/r for Lawson then everyone bar Doyley could take an extra ride.
  8. The BT Sports programme planner on Virgin is still showing Leicester v Kings Lynn.
  9. I was going to ask the same question as some TV guides have it as Wolves v Belle Vue?!
  10. Will Steve Worrall be fit after his withdrawal at Scunny last night?
  11. Bearing in mind the matchday programme has to be printed for Monday, where do you think Ned gets his info from?!
  12. It will if he sorts his b!00dy engines out!!!!!
  13. Well the track is due to get a proper natural soaking on Sunday so lets hope there is sufficient time Monday morning to get it sorted.
  14. Just for the uninitiated who owns the stadium and who are the Speedway Promoters?
  15. Poole aren't bothered about finishing top this year (see Middlo's comments in the Echo today) as the top 4 will all be much of a muchness. Personally I don't think Poole will finish top anyway.
  16. Cut off for the Premiership is Monday 10th September. The last time in 2016 when the senior league fixtures werent all completed (Lions v Stars) I am told there were fines but no award of points, so presume the same applies this season.
  17. It might be in the Stars' best interest to not race the outstanding fixtures (particularly the away one at Somerset) - especially if their top 4 position is safe?!
  18. Poole weren't at full strength on Wednesday when Swindon fell by the wayside!!
  19. I think theres a fair chance that all of the Pirates will be well knackered by the time they get to Blunsdon after looking at their respective weekend schedules.
  20. I think my biggest wish/hope at the moment is that there are no transport issues or delays from Poland or wherever from the Sunday meetings which might affect riders from both teams! I gather some riders are due in to Luton at around 6 am.........!!
  21. Great meeting. Priveleged to watch the final 3 heats from the centre green; you really do get a better sense of what the riders can hear when a packed grandstand roars its approval - and I'm usually one of those in the main grandstand. Have to say its a long time since I remember jumping up and punching the air in excitement - great racing!! (ps. Its a long time since I managed to jump up for anything!!) I can't add anything to Steve Shovlar's report - spot on. Official Sponsors' Rider of the Night award went to Brady Kurtz but it could just as easily have gone to Bomber, Josh G or Kacper. PS. Well done to the Robins for keeping Poole honest in the first half of the meeting. I'd be realistically happy with an away point at Blunsdon on Monday.
  22. ..but we have a different track man today and are missing Monday's top scorer, Klindt and reserve Jacobsen. And we have a misfiring Number 1 and a number 5 who was beset with mechanicals on Monday and only managed 2 points. I remain open-minded and hope I have an out and out Poole 'Rider of the Night' to present a trophy to?!! COYP.
