Poole Keith won't be happy judging by his post.

The Premiership trophy will be on display at the REF video night on Wednesday 14th. Photo opportunities will be available.

Those that asked the question!!
-
Its no secret to those he's told!! Its not as if I'm divulging who, what where etc.

Mr and Mrs Ford would be based in Europe. The new venture is in partnership with a venue/hospitality business. Thats probably enough info for this forum. It wouldn't be unusual, after all The Lakeside owner Stuart Douglas lives and works in the USA. However Matt's keenness to sell for a decent amount is probably so that he can invest in the new business on par with his partners.

How can one league be more 'efficient'? Aside from theoretically ruling out some higher averaged riders, the 'new' heat leaders will automatically demand heat leader deals unless their costs are dramatically reduced. Whether it be North/South or not, the clubs with more assets or money will still be stronger and more successful, meaning that the weaker teams will just languish in the lower half of the league. Teams with no realistic chance of winning anything and go on a lengthy losing streak will soon lose more fans and money. I can't see any efficiency in that scenario. -
Everyone is entitled to an opinion but in Gavan's case its just so repetitive. He seemingly can't help himself whenever it has anything remotely to do with Poole!! Yes he checks the stats, results, scores, performances - in fact anything that shows Poole in a poor light or Poole's opponents in a better light. Its just so transparent. I understand not everyone has a degree in psychology but its so obvious even to the layperson.

Similarly, reading the various fan comments in the SS, there are no easy fixes to satisfy all fans. Their comments are wide and very varied. -
Things can change over the course of the 3 days. What someone says on day 1 can change dramatically by day 3. Thats why in the past someone has supposedly 'leaked' some detail which then turns out to be inaccurate I'm all for a well-worded, fully informative press statement at the end of the AGM.

He is a decent, but quite weird individual!! No doubting his form in the last few years has gone downhill fast even though being a 'family man' has calmed him down a bit. 4.64 is similar to what Woryna started on this season, so would THJ get to 6.30 ish?? Ermmmmmm.......??

Thanks for the input - very helpful.

Your first word sums up the majority of your posts which are either directly about Poole, indirectly about Poole or simply inferring Poole!!!
-
Day 1 is usually to conclude this year's business, accounts and any outstanding payments between clubs etc and to get as clear as possible idea of which clubs will run in 2019. Days 2 and 3 are for formulating league structures, averages and any rule tinkering for 2019 (and beyond?!).
-
For the umpteenth time - it wasn't Poole that got any rule changed!! Kings Lynn proposed it,; the SCB/BSPA approved it and Poole went along with it.
-
P&P was before he lost £thousands at the rained off meetings!! Not excusing him - just saying!
-
The cost of having to get new/different equipment and the inability to sell the current stuff to anyone as they can't use it competitively.
-
He wouldn't have been allowed to serve on the BSPA MC in the past if he didn't have a promoter's licence!!!
-
The site was closed down on the club's official website because too many were bad-mouthing speedway in general and Poole in particular and posted nothing other than negative comments which didn't go down too well with some of the club sponsors, as they felt it reflected badly on them!! Thats why the 'unnofficial' Poole fans forum was started. One thing you can't ever say about Starman is that he is negative about Poole!!!

Matt is considering selling because he has a new business interest which requires him to move abroad. The club is on a sound financial footing. Poole,Wolves, Swindon( according to Terry Russell), Belle Vue (according to their commitment to the City Council), Kings Lynn, Somerset plus the rumoured Peterborough and Ipswich would be ok for any top league. -
Why would a promoter move to a stadium with restricted use that he has to rent as a replacement for a stadium that he owns?
-
You seem to also be forgetting the mandatory practice days that any Polish-contracted riders have to attend! Lets not forget, riders will in the main give priority to where the money is.

What about the clubs who CAN afford to operate at a 'top' level and their fans demand it?? They should be allowed and encouraged to do just that, whilst running a 'B' team in the weaker league. If its only 5, 6, 7 or 8 teams that fit that category then call it a Super League or an Elite League with a decent points limit and with a low maximum number of fixtures to attract some of the top riders and then a B team (without any top riders) to run with a lower points limit and with a reduced admission price. As long as the scenario is financially sound for those clubs - and more importantly its what the fans and sponsors of those clubs want to see - then why shouldn't there be a structure that allows them to do it? -
But they do guarantee your own grandstand seat; give 10%off club merchandise and priority invites to certain club activities eg P&P day. Not for everyone I agree but clearly liked by many as Poole season ticket sales were up in 2018.
-
In this week's SS there seems to be a trend towards making the Premiership stronger - both in terms of number of teams and a bigger points limit - and the Championship 'weaker' to make more of a difference between SGBP and SGBC.
-
Jon Cook's had a Promoters Licence for as long as I can remember. Apparantly the 'deal' is already in place with the RH owners to run in the Championship.
