  1. Can't see Ellis guesting next Wednesday due to the 8-day rule!! I'd have thought Bomber for Holder is a good shout!!
  2. I'm fairly sure that in the last accounts filed for 2017 Poole's assets were valued at around #130k
  3. I'm following the forum rule to reply to the post not the poster. What a d***head post!!!
  4. Agree with most of that Steve but it was Klindt off 15 metres not Morris and although I wasn't there I'm not sure how Middlo motivates his tea??! Well done to all the team. Commiserations to kings Lynn and well done to Dale Allitt for his magnanimous comments at the end. Also despite Matt Ford's announcement its also good news that he won't leave the club or the fans in the lurch and may even stay another year (but that may depend as much on AGM decisions as it will on what buyers show interest).
  5. No problem - hopefully the Stars riders will find them all in their pre-meeting practice!!
  6. I guess he was laughing so much he put his hand straight into his bank account to give Horton some financial help by purchasing Woryna!!
  7. Hope the lorry isn't carrying any more house bricks for burying amongst the shale!!!
  8. Not illegal if the BSPA MC and the SCB have approved it at Kings Lynn's suggestion. Poole were quite happy to use Adam Ellis who they had originally booked. All would have been well if KL hadn't booked Ellis to guest at Poole!!! I know you have a dislike (I won't call it hatred) of all things Poole, but get your facts right on this one. You've only got to read what Dale Allitt explained!!
  9. Just to be clear Poole had already booked Ellis to ride for them at KL. It was only Allitt's suggestion that KL use Adam and Poole use Morris which Poole agreed to. It was proposed to BSPA/SCB and it seemed a sensible option so special dispensation was granted. Poole have done nothing wrong. They merely agreed to another club's proposal to avoid the sport looking more stupid than it already was.
  10. Its just as likely that KL will come out and win the first 4 heats 5-1 like Poole did yesterday, then its game on!!
  11. So for those that were there and heard the interval interview with Rosco (spannering for Morris) Morris had 2 punctures - the first when he spun off and the second after subsequently using Jacobsen's tyre - and a burned out clutch!! Incidentally Rosco also said the track was brilliant - the best its been all season! As for the meeting, I reckon Craig Ackroyd got every decision right except the Jacobsen/Palm Toft one. Whilst the Pirates now have a 16 point advantage - more than most thought or hoped for - there is still the distinct possibility that the Stars can do exactly the same on Wednesday and reduce the deficit after 4 heats. Set-ups and gating will be crucial and with both teams having great team spirit I reckon it'll go down to the wire. The joint decision by the SCB and BSPA with the agreement of both clubs to allow Morris and Ellis to ride for the same teams in both legs, came about due to Dale Allitt's proposal to Matt Ford following the outbursts of bad publicity across all social media platforms. Today's BSPA meeting will undoubtedly propose a further tweak to the play-off rules for future years to allow a guest rider to have an average of 5% higher then the rider he replaces in BOTH HOME AND AWAY LEGS! Makes it much fairer for all at a time of the season when replacements can be scarce due to the season having finished for many.
  12. Nice article and photo of Tai becoming 3 times World Champion in the Sun today. Not sure of any other national media coverage.
  13. Iversen has said he needs to 'rest' but hasn't clarified for how long. Its possible he'll be ok for the 2nd leg on Wednesday if its not concussion?! If not available then the likes of Andersen, Thorsell and Morris are likely to be among the options. As for this evening NKI has always made no secret of the fact he hates the Poole track so his absence makes KL a little stronger I feel. At least both Morris and Ellis were in decent form at Peterborough yesterday as was Klindt with a 15 point max in Poland!
  14. Morris and Ellis both riding at Peterborough today along with MPT and S.Lambert. Thorsell (as a possible guest for NKI?) is riding in the same Polish meeting as Woryna - Rybnik v Zielona Gora - but Thorsell is not in any form at the moment 0,0 from 2.
  15. With the 'special, bumper, commemorative' programme being priced at 4 quid, I would be ok with a £25 entry fee including a programme!, but still nothing announced yet.
  16. Have to give them some joy at the end of their season A ORLOV!!!! Unfortunately Batch didn't drop his average enough to come into consideration.
