Whats the rule about reintroducing a rider who was injured eg Riss? Doesn't he have to replace the rider who replaced him? Or did KL redeclare and will have to redeclare again?
-
They do for League meetings but not the Supporters Cup. To be fair it was supposed to be a spare week in Sweden this week with no fixtures. The Vetlanda one has been brought back. So Kurtz misses the Poole meeting but (I assume) Batch rides for Swindon in the league?! NB. With all the known problems within our sport, this may well be my final post on this forum as there is simply too much additional negativity being continually spouted. At my advancing age, I try to remain positive but its virtually impossible on here. I may look in occasionally and will also continue attending all Poole home fixtures. Bye - at least for now.

No point in getting new shale in until the work with the road grader is done! The grader was 'postponed' because it wasn't available soon enough in the current gap between fixtures. The next possible extended gap between home fixtures is next month from 5th to 17th July. I really can't see how Matt Ford can be in denial about the track condition when he and his son Danny have openly stated in the local press that it needs sorting and will be..

Trying to appeal to a younger, prettier audience??

Primarily Heavy duty road grader and new shale and a possible phone call to Buster.

If I could be bothered I'd look up all of Gavan's posts slating Kennett when Poole signed him as a replacement a couple of seasons ago!

The promotion have made it perfectly clear what the extensive work entails.

Oops. Sorry You are correct and I was watching it too!! Sport in HD is so much better on BT Sports which is all included in the Virgin package. You can really see the difference and how poor it is on the Sky Sports channels unless you pay to upgrade. -

Is that HD on Virgin Media as well? -
Ideal for Kasper Anderson then?!

No meeting for 10 days so should be ok unless anything goes wrong in Poland/Sweden in the mean time!!

Brady was only testing his shoulder out today. He's still not fully fit needs another week or so with the cryotherapy tank. As for his scores as a second string for Leszno the calibre of his teammates will always restrict his scoring potential let alone who he's riding against in Poland!

James Shanes is free!!!

As much as the Aussies are based over here for the season and can be loyal to our domestic league set-up - if they get offered a team place abroad you know where they will go when there are fixture clashes - especially if a new 'one league' set-up races on any night that suits each individual club! A one league format (+ National league) of approx current championship level or below, will lose not only the top riders but also many of the non-British/Commonwealth 3rd heat leader/2nd string riders too! Trying to propose a financial structure for all teams in such a league would be difficult if not impossible due to most clubs having different cost and income bases. For example, what works fincially for say Eastbourne or Kings Lynn who own their own stadia, would not necessarily work for say Poole, Peterborough or Sheffield who have to rent their facilities and who don't get the benefit of any food/beverage/parking revenues.

I have no issue with riders who choose to take part in their own country's national championship eg Denmark, and that those championships (semi-finals and Final) should take precedence over league meetings anywhere. However its the Danes decision to run the semi and final on 2 Thursdays that ought to be challenged as its not an FIM-agreed priority racenight in Denmark.

The comments by Matt Ford about costs of bringing over foreign riders were made before Poole got a 2019 main team sponsor. However much they are putting in - along with several other corporate sponsors - I'm sure that doesn't make up for the 2 long term sponsorship deals that have been put on hold for this season due to their own separate business demands, Having said that I can't see any uninforced changes during June!!

A bit late to the thread this morning but can't really add too much, other than why all this KL stuff on the Pirates v Panthers thread? Good meeting last night and well done to the Panthers who thoroughly deserved the win as they attacked the track much better than the Robins on Monday. Track was better although still needs work, which I'm told is scheduled for the 2 week break before the next Cup fixture (interesting reading the 2 articles in the Speedy Star this week by MF and Middlo!!). More importantly for the speedway purists, there was some superb racing last night with overtaking, undertaking and (I think) only 2 falls - Starke and K,Anderson - the latter being way out of his depth!!. A couple of very strange 2 minute disqualifications by the ref - Ronnie Allen - one for each side, Nicholls and Covatti, both of which got the grandstand on their feet?! Nothing further to say about the Pirate guests other than it was Ellis or King? I think after Monday most would have rightly gone with Adam, but hey ho some you win some you don't. A final well done to Jack, Josh, Hans and BWD for making it a super exciting meeting. Lets hope the track works don't play too much into KL's hands on 13th?!
