  1. They'll really struggle against Poole on 8th and 11th April then!!!!
  2. Its more likely to be a 'minimum' standard rate for each league. Clubs will plan a budget and will pay (directly or indirectly via sponsors) what they think they will be able to afford based on projected income from what ever sources are at their disposal - which will be very different at each club. Most riders want guaranteed regular payment rather than loads of 'promises', contracted or otherwise. Obviously, the 'better' the rider is, the better deal can be negotiable.
  3. Great to see Mark Lemon in attendance at Darcy Ward's wedding in Brisbane on Friday - plus loads of other speedway friends and family from around the World.
  4. Great to see Mark Lemon at Darcy Ward's wedding in Oz on Friday.
  5. So good to see Darcy Ward getting wed to the lovely Lizzie on Friday. Congratulations to them both. So many speedway friends in attendance in Oz, including Middlo, the Holders and the Kurtzs, Leigh Adams plus Aussie Team Manager Mark Lemon and many more..
  6. So it looks like Poole Stadium is to host one of the BSPA's 'shared' events eg a round of the British Youth Championshiups maybe?! It depends how you read the press release on www.speedwaygb.co
  7. Probably something to do with the name of his company - Kent Sweepers.
  8. I guess it might depend on what the ongoing relationship between the club and the various media outlets is?
  9. Where have they been called 'Northern and Southern' sections?
  10. Just produce a contract and get any new sponsor to contact Buster for confirmation.
  11. There certainly hasn't been a queue But now that he has family and friends (and a sponsor) as co-promoters it will allow him to pursue his new business abroad whilst still having the trust and confidence in the day-to-day running of the club. As he's said he can and will fly back in for match days - similar to what many riders do. That arrangement will at least be in place for the next couple of years unless he does get a decent offer. Any potential new owner or co-owner will still need to have at least one licensed co-promoter on board.
  12. I would imagine the riders know exactly who is in the team - especially as 6 of them have been on the training regime - so the fact they have not yet been announced should have no bearing on individual sponsorship.
  13. Maybe it'll be developed into fingerprint security access? Many smartphones already have this function. I can't understand why some are against it? Its only for 2 or 3 Supporters Cup meetings. Perhaps it'll depend on how many more 'old fogies' the sport might lose against how many younger fans it will involve? (nb I'm entering my 70th year!!)
  14. ...and that was the whole track, not just a couple of bends being taken in? Poole had a 10-day window to get the work done with the Stewkesbury/Ansell promotion bringing in all the necessary heavy equipment from the property business in Weymouth.
  15. Obviously there will be a big (unexpected?) announcement at the Tatum/Pearson roadshow!!
  16. Maybe someone is developing the app which can only be accessed by password issued to those at the meeting - perhaps included in the official meeting racecard?? Who would have thought it? Speedway reaches the digital marketing age!!
  17. Its for one nominated heat - as the BSPA post-AGM statement said!! More detail to follow.....! Maybe its the new app that Poole's new co-promoters are working on?!
  18. This allows Matt to progress his other business opportunity abroad, whilst 'keeping the club amongst trusted family and friends'. Theres a good video interview with the new promoters on the Poole website now. Sounds as though the Digital Marketing Agency are working on something for the whole of speedway - not just Poole.
  19. Poole report big increase in young fans last season due to some initiatives by the Marketing Agency - now Co-Promoters - Bespoke4Business. www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/speedway
  20. Well reading Dale Allitt's comments in this week's Star it would appear NKI is still very much an option.
  21. Its what happens when clubs offer inflated guarantees to riders. Bomber still reckons he's owed money for 9 meetings in this week's Star.
  22. Poole name 2 new co-promoters - son Dan (already a Director) and Anthony Tilley of local Marketing Agency Bespoke4Business (for whom Dan works as Senior Project Manager).
