Incidentally a great turn-out last night for the latest Poole Supporters (R.E.F.) Quiznight. 17 teams taking part but modesty prevents me from naming the winners. During the evening the R.E.F. Committee - ably led by Stan and Val Vatcher - were commended for their fund-raising efforts on behalf of the riders since 2002. It was announced that over £67,000 has been raised and presented to Poole riders during this time. The next R.E.F. night will be a Fans Forum on Weds 20th March involving Matt and the new promoters plus some riders.

Not at all - I recognise a wind-up when I see one!
-
I suggest you check the list of people and their jobs in the General Enquiries section of your own official website then!! I'm very aware of what Emma does away from speedway and I wouldn't think she has much spare time on her hands at the moment!!

Speedway Related Co Finances

No Kings Lynn, Ipswich or Peterborough??? Bit of a surprise!! PS, I would imagine that Poole's £78k was virtually wiped out with the lost 70th Anniversary meeting at the start of the 2018 season!! -
Really?! What do Helen, Hayley and Christine do then?
-
Who has the strongest top 3 riders??

Are the 4-7 riders unimportant then? -
Oops forgot to wish Lemo a Happy Birthday for yesterday!! (And I'm not the only one, surprisingly!)
-
I thought the sport was all about attracting younger fans!!! Anyway this 'Poole Poster' will be there from 1.30pm (probably a bit earlier in fact!! )
-
Poole P&P day finally confirmed for Thursday 4th April at 1.30pm for media, sponsors and season ticket holders. 3pm for general public when the riders can take to the track. (Not allowed track time before 3pm due to being next to a school!)
-
Believe it or not the Bournemouth Echo have also covered the MPT signing in today's edition!!! Although not in the online version as yet!

2019 Confirmed Teams - Premiership
SteveLyric2 replied to ZagarRacing's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
The article in this week's SS confirms DB can only get a mechanic to do one UK league not both - so BV suits his racing calendar better. -
So the much-maligned KL publicity machine manages to get the MPT announcement in the sports pages of today's top selling national tabloid!! Good job.
-
Isn't Robert Scott Warren Scott's son?!
-
Maybe they didn't consider one of them to be that 'big' or unexpected??
-
How do you think non-KL fans find out this news??? Try checking social media, local news sites and websites - and sometimes even the Speedy Star?!
-
Pratt's interview in the SS this week confirms that Buster has bought the club but that he will have nothing to do with the day-to-day running of it other than the initial team-building budget. In fact Pratt states that despite his long time friendship with Chapman, nothing will give him greater pleasure than coming out on top of Buster's 2 other teams!!
-
Lets hope the referees keep an eye on all the rolling starts with Cook and Andersen in the team!!! Unless the new guidance to refs is to let all starts go unless the tapes are touched, in which case the Panthers will be virtually unbeatable at the Showground?!
-
It was only snippets of various sports - including speedway - when she was a young 'cub' reporter (pre-Sun and Mail) still learning her trade and being required to cover most sports especially the 'minor' ones.
-
..and a new sponsor - according to Speedway Star!!
-
Look under 'Club Officials'!!
-
Apologies for the incorrect Speedway Star reference!
-
The Panthers website has clearly been updated with the addition of Colin Pratt as co-promoter - alongside Rathbone and Watson!!
-
Many will have read about the sad passing of Vikki Orvice (56), most recently a senior sports reporter of Athletics and Football for The Sun. In her early days as a junior reporter (and when the National Press used to at least give Speedway a passing mention) it was often Vikki's name that headed up the report. I believe she was also a contributor to Speedway Star for several of the Northern and Midland clubs. R.I.P.

What as a number 8???

Considering the current family-run No.1 UK Carpet Cleaners in Christchurch wasn't incorporated til 2014, I find that difficult to believe!! Maybe you should delete your post as at the very least its defamatory!!
