Great post and I agree about the number of Perks rides - I had him down as 8 rides too?! As for Matt's programme notes, he stated that at the recent Ipswich home meeting he made a minimum £10k loss.. That can't continue otherwise we'll see another track disappear. At least today's announcements that the track will be sorted should be well received by most.

I don't recall any Poole fan - Shovlar and me included - saying that the Poole track is fine? It isn't. As for agreeing to go on after heat 7 for the fans - if the track had been heavy and wet and 'dangerous' then the two captains would have called the ref down to express their view and get the meeting called off. As others have said, at no time was the ref called down and at no time did any Poole riders or guest say it was too dangerous to continue. Musielak's withdrawal was pre planned. He was intending to slide off in heat 3 - everyone in the pits knew it - but unfortunately it ended far more spectacularly than he intended. I'm hearing Adam Ellis may be guesting on Thursday................!!

Very happy with 2 points actually! Which 2 Swindon riders did Poole's track take away? Doyle injured his arm at Swindon when he hit the first bend hole and Musialak was carrying the injury from previous meetings - he jarred it again in Poland - and was unfit to ride when he turned up at Poole. He was only sent out for one race when it was decided in advance that he would lay the bike down and withdraw from the meeting so that Swindon could use IRR, otherwise they wouldn't have a facility for him!!! It was the talk of the pits before the start!! Fact not opinion!

No I didn't. Part of my attending Poole every meeting requires me to go into the speedway office before the meeting begins and before I take my place. Its then that I see Matt (and Middlo yesterday) as well as often Danny Ford. Danny spent some considerable time on the centre green talking with some of the track guys so as Steve Shovlar has already commented, I expect some serious track work to be undertaken in due course. Yes the track was poor yesterday but not as bad as Good Friday. With some saying its 'been bad for ages' I'm surprised the Swindon riders didn't come crashing down then as they clearly knew how to avoid any ruts, bumps or holes on that occasion!! The big racing difference between the Good Friday and BH Monday performances was that the Pirates seem to have learned how to get their set-ups and gating right! Still not seen any Poole riders complain about either track other than Josh's wrist injury from the big flying stone at Blunsdon. But work to be done at both tracks.

which half would that be exactly? Musielak was injured before today and would have been pulled out by Rosco if they hadn't had the 'last minute' situation with Lampart. Instead they made him go out for his first ride so they could do IRR. Who else got injured? No opinion about the dangerous Swindon track then? Dangerous according to the Swindon riders incidentally?!

Some may call that home track advantage?! But for those that are saying its been bad for a very long time, one would think that regular visiting riders would have a good idea where any holes/ruts were too?! I wonder what they all chat about on the track walk?! Didn't seem to faze Swindon on Good Friday?!!
