  1. Sorry, which Poole riders struggled exactly - apart from Josh who got clouted by a stone from the Blunsdon track?
  2. But the complaining Robins did look nicely turned out in their team kevlars - well 4 of them did!!
  3. which half would that be exactly? Musielak was injured before today and would have been pulled out by Rosco if they hadn't had the 'last minute' situation with Lampart. Instead they made him go out for his first ride so they could do IRR. Who else got injured? No opinion about the dangerous Swindon track then? Dangerous according to the Swindon riders incidentally?!
  4. Jensen is a great signing for Swindon. He rode with Klindt for Worky last year . Nicolai recommended him to Poole but MF went with NBJ instead.
  5. I can't possibly comment on the state of the track as I wasn't there!! I'll just have to rely on updates and feedback from the riders. Well done to the 'apparently pikey' Pirates. a great 5 points off the beautifully turned out over Robins today.
  6. Matt has been there for every home meeting as he said he would be. Spoke to him today.
  7. Not 'stirring' at all - that was what was being talked about in the pits, even to the point of him being checked over by the doc?! If it wasn't, I wouldn't have posted anything!! ps. and I find the 'pikey' comment insulting and unnecessary!
  8. Some may call that home track advantage?! But for those that are saying its been bad for a very long time, one would think that regular visiting riders would have a good idea where any holes/ruts were too?! I wonder what they all chat about on the track walk?! Didn't seem to faze Swindon on Good Friday?!!
  9. Aside from Doyley I thought your boy was the pick of the Robins this afternoon. Wasn't afraid to mix it despite getting a big shove on the pits bend early in the meeting,
  10. They may not but doesn;t stop him being at most of the Swindon home meetings does it? (Robinson not Rosco!)
  11. So back home after an exhilarating if somewhat avoidably elongated meeting and I can't help smiling at some of the expected anti-Poole comments from the usual suspects on here. Yes the track developed a rut/hole on the 3rd/4th bend apex but its usually the 1st/2nd bend that most complain about?! Considering the track on Good Friday when Swindon won easily was supposedly 'the worst its ever been', then I do believe Swindon today were just looking for excuses. Early race times were some of the fastest this season - The Robins didn't get a heat advantage til heat 12!! Re Musielak - There was talk in the pits before the meeting started that he was unfit to ride with the after-effects of the similar shoulder injury to Brady's. With Lampart also missing, Musielak was going to take one ride, probably tail off and then withdraw from the meeting. The fact that he crashed was a little too much. As he walked back to the pits, Rosco came out and gesticulated 'enough'!! Finally for those that stayed to see the Rider of the Day award presentation and interview (with Richie Worrall) they will have heard him applaud the track staff for doing ' an awesome job' in challenging circumstances ie Warm sunny and breezy with the threat of rain from the west. An unexpected win for the Pirates despite some very strange decisions from the Reading-based, Swindon-supporting ref - Dave Robinson!! If he's officiating again this evening at Blunsdon then Swindon are in for a big win!!
  12. Ah so not right all the time then?! With your knowledge of Polish speedway I'd have thought you would know that riders have to turn up if they are in the declared 1-7 unless they are injured and in hospital.
  13. Polish rules and contracts state that riders must turn up if they are declared in the original line-up - unless they are seriously hurt and in hospital!! After Friday's x-rays in the UK Brady flew out to Poland to get further treatment from the Leszno doctors - probably more scans and some intensive physio - on his badly bruised arm and shoulder, in the hope that he might be fit to race. That has proved unlikely if not impossible in Poland and UK this weekend. Whether an extra day's rest and further treatment allows him to turn out in Sweden on Tuesday we shall have to wait and see, although the latest speedwaygp.com news release suggests this also to be unlikely!!
  14. X-Ray for Brady this morning to ascertain the extent of the shoulder damage!!
  15. Usually a better crowd wherever and whenever Poole visit!!
  16. It was announced at the last two Poole home meetings and has been on the Poole website, matchday programme, social media and local press since. Its also (now) on the BSPA website!! Incidentally during the announcements at Poole it was also mentioned there MAY be a change to the Swindon start time in the evening?! NB. Brady to have x-ray on his shoulder this morning before decision made on Monday line-ups.
  17. Poole not weakened but Peterborough stronger with or without Hans. 48-42
  18. So a rearranged Danish fixture on an off night for them still takes precedence over our SGBP fixture which has been on the approved FIM International fixture list since the start of the season!? That's really putting the bspa in its place!!!
