Oh please!! That'll secure you 5th place for sure!!
-
I was assuming that Wolves may have dropped him by then!
-
Covatti out as well tonight at Eastbourne!! Barker guests
-
At least in August there may be a few more home guest options available, although with Covatti withdrawing from the Somerset team at Eastbourne tonight, who knows what will be needed by Thursday?
-
At least Josh showed how disappointed he was and when apologising he refused any payment from the Panthers promotion. (See Panthers website)
-
Could use him to guest in a couple (not all 3) of the upcoming home meetings in August - but not sure what this has to do with this Peterborough thread?!

Chill out Baggy. I did use emoticons! Just delighted that Poole are still top with meeting(s) in hand - even after last night's meetings!!

Josh is guesting for Panthers in any case. -
Some might suggest that its far easier to promote a once-a-year GP in Cardiff (that I assume makes money, cos not all those 45000 actually pay to get in and renting the stadium for at least a week will not be cheap?) in a modern venue than every week or two for 5 months in varying venues of sparse facilities. Well done to the promoters who are still giving it a go despite all the sports ills.

Tomorrow night in Sweden!!!

Good to see that Brady is back on a MotoX bike on the new track at Middlo's!!

...and on the speedwaygb site too thank goodness. Most of the racing that night was of similar standard. Credit to both teams and the track staff!! -
Sky only have the clout because of the advertising/sponsorship revenue from the gambling companies. If the law changes more to block gambling companies from their TV advertising and sponsorship then Sky and football will be up s#!t creek!

So Richie's rehab has not gone to plan and he has withdrawn from the British Final!!!!!

The big questions re the new BT negotiations which are supposed to be concluded by end August 2019, are if BT are pleased with their League viewing figures (I am led to believe they are!!) and will there be enough/any money heading to the BSPA? The end-August deadline is so that the BSPA can decide on the 2020 league format in readiness for the November AGM. Whatever we all think of the current standard of British racing, there are still some promoters who (rightly?) believe that we are selling the sport too cheaply - hence the rumblings about streaming their own meetings and compiling a magazine-type programme which could be flogged/given to a specialist channel like Premier/Freesports/Quest or similar.

He's listed as riding and one of his Poole sponsors has confirmed he's had the cast off and clips removed and is currently wearing a protective boot (I'v seen the photos) whilst getting further rehab whilst holidaying in Portugal!! When he had the op the surgeon was very pleased with the outcome and said that he should be able to return in 6 weeks. Ok the British Final is only 5 weeks on but we all know what speedway riders can be like. Assuming he does ride on the 29th then his performance may give the club a better guide as to whether he will be ok to return for Poole.
