Well done the patched up Pirates. Like BV at Wimborne Road last week who came for a point and got one, Poole came for the win and got that too. Result!! Particular congrats to Josh G and Max Fricke. Both superb performances. -

Aside from the use of Bickley tonight, and according to the latest BSPA Green Sheets, can someone please explain how Aarnio (Ass av 4,55) can replace Wells (Av. 4.52) when the team average is already over the 42.50 limit at 43.09?? -

Wells could guest for either Poole reserve or could be signed as a replacement for any of the 3 missing riders. -
I wonder if Bates reads this forum? If he does I'm surprised he's not punching a wall in frustration!!!!

Thursday's crash was in heat 8 which the ref declared as a 2-4 to BV bringing the meeting to 24-24. -
Why was he hard done by? He broke his leg!!!!

Maybe thats why Wolves are holding off from announcing who Douglas will be replacing.

I'm quite prepared to accept that where there may be a loophole in the rules - which would be open for any club to exploit - then Poole may well have been better or quicker than others in so doing?! But if there are loopholes in the first place then that is down to the authorities to correct them. If Poole had continually 'broken' any rules then they would have been taken to task by the Management Committee and formally punished by the SCB. So lets see the evidence rather than just an opinion. -

Having had a long chat with the promoters on Thursday, I was thanked for my positive attitude, so I've had a (temporary) change of heart. -
Please let me know when/if he achieves that in successive meetings?! I like Eddie but I won't hold my breath.

I guess any 'newbies' wouldn't know about a track being deliberately flooded when their top rider was supposedly missing? An act which was caught out and officially punished by the SCB/BSPA? No? Just us 'oldies' then!!! -

Many in the crowd thought it would be called off after heat 8 - in fact it was announced what the refund/readmission policy would be for a future meeting if it was called off then. However the ref went down to the pits and had discussions with both teams. Both teams wanted to continue racing subject to what time the paramedic was likely to return. A 'curfew' time of 10.15pm was agreed and announced. -
Should we scrap Team Speedway?

I believe Len Silver is keen on this format and has spoken to several promoters, including at least one Premiership club!! -
Should we scrap Team Speedway?
SteveLyric2 replied to Falcon1983's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Rather than one league I reckon a format with 3 regional divisions is a likely next step depending on what happens with the TV deal in the future. Negotiations that are to be 'completed' before end August could severely affect the future structure. -
