  1. I looked at this thread last night when I got in from the meeting but I refrained from getting involved then. I've now had the time and opportunity of going through it all. Yes sad I know!! The meeting was a good close meeting with some terriffic racing and overtaking with not a single crash or fall until the Cook incident in heat 15. From my position in the main grandstand Cook's move looked deliberate and intentional but if he apologised to Josh then fair play. I would suggest that if that move had happened earlier in the meeting he could well have been thrown out of the meeting there and then - apology or no apology - just my opinion!! (The fact that Nicolai had to be held back by Middlo says it all imo). The 'hole' that Cook video'd on the track walk and which was made worse by riders scuffing it, (I watched them do it!) was also spotted by Middlo and was packed down by the track staff before the meeting began. It didn't cause any rider from either team any issue thereafter! The Stars were a 2-man team - something that Peter Shroeck has commented on - and particularly disappointing were Riss and MPT compared to previous visits - but I'm sire things will be entirely different on Monday despite the Pirates having won twice already at the AFA. Still, patched up or not the 3 Pirates plus guests will still give it a go.
  2. I know for a fact that BT are extremely pleased with all their speedway viewing figures. Hopefully they put some money where their mouth is as the contract negotiations for 2020 and beyond are supposed to be concluded by end August!!! In the meantime on Monday viewers will have to view r/r for Kurtz with Summers Wells and Newman filling the minor places.- or so it is rumoured?!
  3. Nicol may have been announced as a new signing but he's not yet declared in the 1-7 due to his visa application changes. Lambert is still listed despite being told that he's out, so has either got injured (official version) or has told Buster to 'go away' (unofficial but more likely version)!
  4. We get enough visiting weirdos on the Poole site already thank you!! C'mon the Robins, lets both beat the 'beasts from the east' this evening!!
  5. Why are we getting replacements for NBJ? His 7-day medical note expires today and he's declared for Thursday.
  6. Sam was definitely in the team in 2012. I presented him with a cheque from the Riders Equipment Fund and have a photo to prove it. Hope its a decent crowd as I'm hearing there will be a collection for Richie.
  7. Every track has an element of danger. Poole's had a 'couple of holes and ruts which have apparently been there for years' without stopping many many riders from racking up good scores. The track has been well bladed and new shale put on as was evidenced in the curtailed meeting v BV last week.
  8. Weymouth fans are used to their speedway meetings finishing later and attend accordingly. Top flight fans are used to their meetings being done by 9.30 ish.
  9. I'm really surprised at all these visiting riders (guests or opponents) who put in such great scores previously on what was a supposedly 'dangerous' track?! Quite Remarkable!! PS. Covatti back by the 18th July latest!!
  10. I'm aware of that - not an official one anyway!!!
  11. Neil sorry if this appears pedantic but Issue 13 as you correctly point out shows BV effective 30/06. I have the printout in front of me! However it also shows Belle Vue's team total being 43.09 including Aarnio at 4.55. Aarnio's average is higher than both of Wells' averages 4.52 or 4.24, so how is it allowed when the team total is in excess of 42.50?
  12. Will Swindon be doing a collection for Stefan?
  13. £2.50 to park (which goes to the stadium NOT the speedway!)
  14. Is Douglas' visa paperwork permission through ok then?
  15. Swindon might be a bit put out by that as they'll need him big time against Ipswich!!!!
  16. Of course as them's the rules!! Unless we make 2 or 3 changes and redeclare with a 3 point reserve or similar?
  17. Well done the patched up Pirates. Like BV at Wimborne Road last week who came for a point and got one, Poole came for the win and got that too. Result!! Particular congrats to Josh G and Max Fricke. Both superb performances.
  18. Don't agree. Issue 12 dated 28/06/19 gives 42.78 with Wells on 4.24 Issue 13 effective 30/6 gives 43.09 including Aarnio at 4.55
  19. Aside from the use of Bickley tonight, and according to the latest BSPA Green Sheets, can someone please explain how Aarnio (Ass av 4,55) can replace Wells (Av. 4.52) when the team average is already over the 42.50 limit at 43.09??
