  1. They've both got cracking wives though!!!
  2. But the September 1st figures will be known after 23rd August so clubs will still have a chance to sort something.
  3. No, not unless there is a further dramatic drop before 28th August!!
  4. The travelling support for Poole/Swindon meetings in the play offs will be much greater than any of the other teams - except perhaps Kings Lynn v Ipswich, but as that isn't going to happen, I didn't concern myself with it!!
  5. He was a Kings Lynn and Swindon rider too!! As a Poole rider he was the best thing since sliced bread on the track. Nowadays I can't really blame him for resorting to social media from his wheelchair!!!!!
  6. I must confess to being a little bored with the racing last night - very processional.
  7. Look at the September/October fixture list on BSPA website for the provisional dates.. (Premiership league fixture cut-off date is 19th September)>
  8. Better attendances if/when they meet each other and a better financial end to the season for both!!
  9. You seem to forget that Darcy was rightly punished and came back a better individual for it. All that some are saying is that Craig Cook should also be rightly punished rather than try to claim some 'unfairness' because the SCB's Neil Vatcher is a friend of Jon Cook, amongst others??
  10. Think yourself lucky he blew his best engine in heat 1 last night. I bet you'll be hoping he can't get it replaced in time for Monday?!
  11. Only 'cos his average was increased which would have made him number 1. MF undoubtedly made the right decision if Bomber's recent scores are anything to go by!!
  12. When you build a so-called 'top heavy' team then your heat leaders should have better averages than any team built for 'strength in depth'! Swindon have a chance - not a strong chance imo - on Monday to go top of the league, but either way it should be a good meeting and the play-offs will be far better for having both Poole and Swindon qualifying. Still the Premiership table still looks mighty fine this morning!!
  13. Yeah Cook and Josh riding together - who would have thought it?!
  14. Well we usually get so much stick its always nice to give some back!! Hope Josh does a job for this evening.
  15. Team line-ups have to be advised 72 hours in advance not changed on raceday, so Wolves would have every right to ride under protest!!
  16. I thought there had been more than enough injuries and accidents already this season!!!!
  17. If I was Peter Adams, I would only allow Wolves to ride 'under protest'!!
  18. So Cook appeals against what the SCB Officers themselves witnessed?! Lets hope the appeal hearing is held at the appropriate time and the punishment at least staying a minimum of what it was. Maybe even the SGP Challenge may be affected? One can live in hope.
  19. In Cook's version of events - as published in last week's Star - he didn't hear anything of the presentation announcements as he had his helmet on and didn't realise the parade was still going on!!!!!!
  20. If he was 'slowing down' then he must have been going faster beforehand at a time when he shouldn't have even been riding the track! With the presentation always held on the back straight, Cook rode off into the 3rd/4th bends and then the home straight before entering bends 1 and 2 (where most of the fan video was taken). Red lights were on and marshalls were holding their red flags on the 3rd/4th bends and the home straight at the side of the track before he went into bends 1/2. Whatever the rights and wrongs of what happened in the 'fracas', (not forgetting it was all witnessed first hand by the SCB's Neil Vatcher as well as the ref!), none of it would have happened if all the Glasgow riders had stayed at the presentation line until it had been fully completed! End of.
  21. Lets not forget that Josh gave up on any payment from Peterborough because of his machine issues, so it could be a cheap night for Buster?!
  22. What are the SCB supposed to have done? They posted a statement on the official SCB website on Monday 5th August - the day after the incident(s)! It said they would investigate, which they did (bearing in mind Neil Vatcher, SCB Co-Ordinator was actually there at Eastbourne) and that there would be no further comment until the investigations were complete. The results of the investigation and the punishments were again published on the official website on Sunday 11th - a mere week after the incident(s). Ipswich and Kings Lynn promoters couldn't add anything to the investigations as they weren't there! Quite speedy and proper in my opinion.
