We may have a gp rider in the future!! Jack and Brady are still young kids in the overall scheme of things and they will become more consistent in time. They are learning their craft in the top leagues in Poland and Sweden - which is a lot more than many other riders currently in the British leagues. On another forum some are saying not to consider re-signing Chris Holder next season because he is 'old and past it'. Can't win either way in some people's eyes can we.

Swindon v Poole. Prem. 22/8/19

Poole unusually missed a trick at the start of the season when Klindt was recommending Jensen (who he rode with at Worky last season) but MF went for NBJ instead. Its what happens when you take your eye off the ball temporarily. -

Belle Vue think they have problems?! You should see the team that Peterborough are putting out at Ipswich tonight!!!! -
Ipswich v Peterborough 22/08/2019

I think the meeting should be postponed. Its hardly fair on the other teams going for top 4 spot!! -
Its rumoured that Poole v Kings Lynn Supporters Cup meeting may be the 2nd part of a KL double header on 12th September - if the Pirates landlords are happy for it to happen then.

Exactly!!

Ipswich have a bit of history of losing at home to teams with half their riders out so all may not be lost Panthers fans. Your team has a few riders that will always want to do well at the foxhole. -
He said the same thing earlier in the season before he got his Polish 3rd division place, BUT he does fit, he is a Poole asset but will he cost more than the club want to afford?

Matt will only sell it if he has a buyer at the right price!! He's brought his son Danny and colleague Tilley in as co-promoters so that they can take the brunt of the day-to-day running of the club with Matt keeping an eye from abroad. This season Matt is flying in for most of the Pirates home meetings but its Danny that is being shown the ropes and becoming the 'front man' - hence its Danny that is now quoted in most news stories and publicity. I think this is season is one of transition - not forgetting that Danny and Tilley also have their own day jobs.

Good!!

Correct. For any foreign rider to come over now its the costs of air fares, mechanics, vans in addition to points money/guarantees that make it prohibitive at the moment.

Richie is giving an update to MF before the 28th. As DF and Middlo have both stated there is no easy (or cheap?) replacement available within Richie's average which would improve things. There may be a lower averaged rider that could mean Nico going to 2, which isn't ideal either!

Poole v Swindon. Prem. 19/8/19

Yep, no tac subs for starters!! -
If he gets the work visa then I guess he'll be back for Poole - depending on what the league set-up, race days and points limits are for next season?! Also it will depend on what reduction on his 7.16 average MF or DF can negotiate?!

Poole v Swindon. Prem. 19/8/19

So it was a good tense meeting last night with a much better attendance and atmosphere than of late. I've now also watched the BT version which does give a slightly different perspective compared to actually being there. As much as many are saying it was Poole's reserves v Swindon's top 2, I think the other factor was the number of last places - Swindon 9 Poole 6 (with 2 of those coming from Klindt's worst performance so far!!). Middlo's strategy was to fill the minor places and let Doyley (and Batch) do their thing and it just about worked. Kurtz was struggling with bike issues all night and Jensen was clearly suffering with his wrist injury from the previous night's Championship action. Should make for an interesting third meeting on Thursday. As for the track there was some 'rippling' going into the first bend but for Doyley to state on camera that the track was awesome and well prepared and allowed for great racing was good to hear - something that Tatum also alluded to in his pre-racing track report. Well done to both teams - hope its the final. -

He's not right. Newman only had 3 rides. Perks replaced him in heat 8 and also scored 0. -

Looking forward to watching it live and recording it for a different perspective. I think Swindon will come away with at least a point. Their top end strength in the latter heats will be difficult for Poole imo. I think Poole are better at home when they go off 2&4 in heat 1 so lets see. -

I thought Morris was also involved in the same Berwick crash?? At least Fricke's Swedish meeting today has been postponed!! -

SteveLyric2 replied to A ORLOV's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Early season KP doing a job at 5 and Heeps at reserve were the catalysts for their good form. I said that when Heeps went into the 1-5 his scores would not be so consistent - aside from his injury - and I also said Kennett at reserve would not score double figures in successive meetings - and he hasn't. Not sure what the riding order might be from Sept 1st if they do make the play-offs. -
Introducing yourself....

Ah so Colin Cook's son! hence the Ippo, Leicester and Exeter links. -
Thanks Neil my informant was therefore incorrect - unless he was relying on the 'special dispensation by the BSPA Directors' option?!

As has been said many times - if you want to make a small fortune out of speedway then start with a large one!
