  1. I think Poole's new co-promoters are very much on the case!!! No doubt there are at least one or two others also.
  2. Once again Gavan misses the point. The statement was about Swindon finishing top and picking Poole, not the other way around.
  3. Wow a like-minded Swindon supporter?! I got taken to task at even suggesting such a thing!!
  4. Unless he gets injured in the remaining league meeting(s) then Ricky will be in for the play-offs according to Danny Ford in the local paper today. I'm sure everyone will give their opinion after watching on TV. Those that are attending will give their views too.
  5. Who is 'throwing in the towel' exactly? Just for your info, at the time NBJ was replaced he was ill - doubled up in stomach pain in the pits in actual fact - and after an initial check in hospital thought he would have to have an operation! However when he flew back to Denmark his specialist there said it wasn't needed and he just needed rest. By this time Wells had become available, BV had signed Aarnio who promptly got injured and NBJ was declared fit to ride again - but not for too long as we all know. Not quite sure what other rider options were realistically available to replace either NBJ or Worrall on their respective averages, but if you wanna carry on stirring your particular type of $#!t then be happy with your opinions. BTW Poole may have been favourites at various times of this season (because we are always there or thereabouts) but current form clearly makes Poole the 3rd favourites behind Robins and Wolves.
  6. Money or lack of it due to less sponsors (for a variety of reasons)is the main cause. We didn't get THJ until he'd already committed to Berwick even though he's a Poole asset.
  7. No club no fans. Matt's already said how much the club loses when attendance is low. I actually do agree that Poole will choose Ippo if they get the choice but what a financial disappointment if neither Poole nor Swindon get through!!
  8. It might be about getting to the final for the fans buts this year it's about not losing money!!
  9. Yep if Poole get Ippo that'll be 2 successive Monday meetings against the same opposition and both on tv. Financial suicide!!
  10. Personal insults are not really necessary are they. Just because what I said was accurate and factual is nothing to do with being better than anybody. Just correct on this occasion. Take it like an adult and if nothing else apologise for the insult.
  11. You're right with your first sentence. You should have stopped there. A bit like Sarjeant at the tapes
  12. It's financial. If Swindon get to the final they'll get a great crowd whoever the opposition so to guarantee 2 huge home crowds they'll pick Poole in the semis. Simples. If they get there of course.
  13. So just for the fun of it who would replace him?
  14. If Swindon manage to get anything out of Kings Lynn and finish top they will choose Poole. Ask Rosco.
  15. Why wait? You didn't wait to make the false accusation.
  16. Love him to bits. Even more so when he's banned!! Lol
  17. No bumps or ruts now AORLOV. Craig Cook says it's lovely to race on. Don't worry though i'm sure we can disguise a few well positioned holes to upset Doyley an Batch etc. Ha ha
  18. Not sure he started it at the track on Thursday but it was being talked about even though I had it from another reliable source that it wasn't so and have hinted so since it started.
  19. Danny Ford confirms Ricky Wells returns on Monday having had treatment and rest for his shoulder injury. Awaits posts of apology....................
  20. If Wells does not ride, which guests in particular would you have in mind on a horses for courses basis to make Poole stronger. His current average is 4.39
  21. Gavan I don't know if Wells will ride Monday. I hope he does. However what I do know is that he rode 5 meetings in 5 days (1 Poole and 4xEdinburgh) where his scores got progressively worse because he knackered his shoulder again. He requested time off to get the intensive physio on his shoulder injury which allowed him to race again last night. Fact. However there was also a rumour at Poole on Thursday that he had asked to stand down from Premiership racing. Some people believe that to mean for the rest of the season. Others took it to mean only last week's meeting. We shall see come Monday. Incidentally THJ is missing from the Berwick lineup today due to a prior longtrack commitment!
  22. I hear what you say but maybe the other young riders you refer to haven't had the concussion that Brady has had this year!! I'm not surprised if he's being a little more cautious in a brutal league up against the world's best. As for Jack he hasn't exactly been the saviour of Torun this year has he? Maybe they would both benefit from a season in the Polish first division rather than Ekstraliga? I well remember Middlo saying not to put too much pressure on them too soon as yhey are not the 'new' turbo twins.
  23. It is on Thursday BUT only if top spot is still undecided from Monday's fixtures. And that is straight from the Promoter.
