  1. Its Matt who is putting the 1-7 together for 2020!! Danny is the spokesperson.
  2. Boycey, Darcy and Crump are all Matt's eyes and ears in OZ - even Leigh Adams and Rod Colquhoun too!
  3. The likes of Bowtell/Morley/Wood have all had recent Championship team places. They shouldn't simply be dismissed as 'N/L riders'!! Lets not forget we are looking at a 2nd string and reserve (or 2 reserves?) at Championship level - not Premiership!!
  4. Just because Poole are looking at the Australian performances doesn't mean they'll end up with more Aussies in their starting (or finishing) 1-7!!!!
  5. Can someone confirm that he has got his visa sorted then?!
  6. When the Promotion have made their decision during or after the Aussie Championships.
  7. Bearing in mind what was happening economically at Poole at that time, then it was probably understandably the best decision!!
  8. Poole didn't just simply refuse. There were other issues - not least that Poole were scheduled at an away Premiership meeting at Swindon (I think) on the date given to them. In my opinion it should not be upto the Premiership clubs to directly assist the young rider development. There have been plenty of examples of young Brits included in SGBP teams only to become totally disillusioned as they were out of their depth (It happened twice to James Shanes for example) - this should be a properly structured and approved NL/SGBC responsibility in the first instance which I would hope the now SGBC clubs including Poole would support. As well as having strong Poole connections with the youngsters via Neil Vatcher, Wessex Marine and Meridian Lifts over many past seasons, some would say that is plentiful support!!!?
  9. Oh wow! A club concerned with success?! Achieved that little objective many times over in recent years as the Poole trophy cabinet bears witness?! Developing young British talent should have started in the NL, and progressed through the SGBC as part of a properly planned structure. If any riders emerge with the right credentials then all SGBP clubs should give them a chance, but only if they can compete. Very difficult to achieve when each league has virtually been stand alone and highly competitive in its own right. Not Poole's fault at all.
  10. Poole have had discussions with at least 3 Aussies about a 2020 team place. These have been 'recommended' by the likes of Darcy Ward, Craig Boyce and Jason Crump for consideration and the Aussie Championship rounds plus some other individual meetings should provide some evidence of their current abilities.
  11. Could be that he's thrown too many toys out of his pram. Not really a great team man I'm told. Don't think the Pirates need another one of those!!
  12. Surely not another Brit?! This is Poole we are talking about??!! We could still finish up with another 2 x4 point Aussies alongside Josh Mac?!
  13. Awaiting the performances from the Aussie Championships I would guess!!
  14. Jack Holder wins the Jason Crump Invitational 'A' Final at Kurri Kurri today from Tungate, Riss and Brady Kurtz.
  15. Great idea. Maybe start a seperate thread rather than have it 'hidden away' on a less well-read Poole thread!!??
  16. Did you not see the emoticons?? I hope the grandkids enjoy the caravan in Devon with grandad!
  17. Why wouldn't committed fans go to absolutely every home match? Surely committed fans arrange their holidays outside of the season's fixtures or if there is a gap in fixtures mid-season? The Southern away meeting discount is a good new incentive alongside the existing10% discount off club merchandise and the invite to the club P&P day at Poole. I've sorted my 3 passes and booked my holidays in early March and end-October!!
  18. Nice to see you keeping up with the latest info - despite slagging off Championship racing!!! Pricing is in line with most other SGBC teams, considering at least 3 of the team also have Premiership places!! You should get a season pass - it works out at only £15 per adult per meeting - quite realistic wouldn't you say!!
  19. Matty Gilmore is/was certainly under consideration but its the Number 4 position average that will dictate the final riders.
  20. What have fans of Ipswich or Belle Vue got to do with the argument? They are Premiership and all 3 Premiership clubs have happily re-signed the 3 riders. Fans of Sheffield, Birmingham and Newcastle would have had Poole's 2020 top 3 back like a shot if they all stayed Championship or had no doubts about their future.
  21. No one is saying Poole's top 3 are the best, just that they are stronger than some of those you mentioned. "King and Worrall won't improve much if any" can only be your opinion which is not shared by others - Simples!
  22. Not sure until the fixtures come out. The date was announced before the decision to go Championship!!
