  1. Yeah but if the high street retailer is waiting to re-open with new stock, including what the customer wants, in a couple of months so what is the issue?
  2. Brummies v Pirates 2013 Grand Final (Perry Barr 2nd leg) next Wednesday 13th May. Followed by live link ups with Darcy Ward, Greg Hancock and Matt Ford.
  3. Personally I thought the IOW Warrior videos have been very good! Same production company - Speedway Portal - that do several other club vids.
  4. Every club will have its own budget and costs and will make their respective decision on season tickets (and sponsorship/advertising income for that matter) when they know for definite if/when the season will get underway and what format and number of fixtures there might be. No club and no fan or sponsor knows that yet!! As for contacting clubs - try via their website, facebook page, Instagram or Twitter feeds assuming that email or phone doesnt get a response - or don't all clubs have these methods?
  5. ...followed by after meeting 'zoom' interviews with Darcy Ward, Chris Holder and Davey Watt.
  6. Exactly!! If there is any UK speedway later in the year from say late July/early August any re-jigged or condensed league fixtures could have an effect on those clubs using 'doubling-up' riders aside from any issues arising from the foreign leagues and their contractual obligations.
  7. Presumably you could be looking at replacements for those riders with Polish contracts?!
  8. Even if there is speedway from say July/August, the Premiership only needs 6 home and 6 away meetings to satisfy a 'league' commitment - with or without any play-offs - as well as providing something for Eurosport. Clearly there would need to be some rationalisation of season ticket costs for those fans already committed to them. It would appear that Lee Kilby is this season's fixture guru for the BSPL and has already worked on several different fixture formats depending on any resumption date!! Although not relevant for this section, the Championship could also resort to North and South division fixtures with the winner of each division meeting in a Final.
  9. ....and hopefully his lockdown will be longer than everyone else's!!
  10. If he's signed on the bottom line in Poland then he can't ride in any other country's leagues. I've lost track of who else Swindon have signed? Does it also affect Batchelor or others?
  11. You are right about the Customer is King, BUT the fans aren't the only customers!! All clubs have contractual arrangements with various different customers including sponsors, advertisers, suppliers, landlords etc. It will depend on each club's financial balance sheet as to where they derive their maximum income from and therefore whose feedback might have the strongest opinion?!
  12. Not much of a commitment if thats all he was doing anyway. I guess he's assuming there will be no SGP series requiring him to travel outside Poland and then quarantine 14 days to get back in each time?!
  13. Hasn't Emil expressed similar doubts to NP. I don't see him getting the same abuse!!!!
  14. Next Wednesday's (6th May) Pirates video re-wind is the 2011 Grand Final 2nd leg Poole v Eastbourne.
  15. Maybe just for Southern tracks then where the weather may be a little kinder?! (Its definitely being discussed!!)
  16. Next Wednesday's (6th May) video re-wind is the 2011 Grand Final 2nd leg Poole v Eastbourne. Incidentally very interesting 'post-meeting' discussion last night with Matt Ford and Bjarne Pedersen. Not only some good memories but some surprising (to some) positive views about Speedway returning in July/August with re-vamped social distancing measures currently being discussed by BSPL and Sports Minister?! Matt also commenting on extending the season and mentioning that some promoters (and riders) have been asking about the possibilities of a Winter League?!
  17. So no appetite for a Winter Speedway league then??
  18. So his wife has to give up any job she has and go with him? Or stays here and doesnt see him for several months?
  19. There is a video from Jason Doyle/Craig Boyce on facebook, where JD explains his dilemma of what to do if riding in Poland. Riders have been told to go to Poland in 2 weeks time - mid-May - so they can quarantine for 14 days before starting to practice at end of May for the Polish season to start June 12/14th. He stresses that he has some big decisions to make for this season.
  20. Not allowed to show 'x-rated' videos!!! There will also be post-meeting interviews with Bjarne Pedersen and Matt Ford on Wednesday..
  21. Good statement from the BSPL Chairman today. www.speedwaygb.co.uk
