no. Clubs that rent their stadia will still have to pay all the usual costs including rent and stadium staffing/H&S costs. They will run speedway at whatever level gains them the most revenue ie the best sponsorship and biggest attendances.

Just in case anyone has missed it - this week's after-match reaction featuring Kyle Newman, Chris Holder and Davey Watt will this week take place 24 hours later on Thursday 28th May at 7.30pm. The 2015 Poole v Belle Vue meeting still takes place on Wednesday 27th May at 1930 hours.

Poole Town FC are in more of a financial hole than either dogs or greyhounds I would suggest. One huge stumbling block for them to move anywhere away from their Tatnum Poole ground is that they would have to re-pay all the FA loans that they've had for ground improvements. They can't afford to do that - in fact they can barely afford to continue operating normal fixtures without begging for more and more financial support.

With Gaming International presumably still having to pay BCP Council some form of rental fee for the lease, with no income at all apart from the currently very underused car park, then that may well have longer term implications on the stadium's future - especially if they renege on the lease and the Council take it back. So many messages on Poole Speedway's social media platforms regarding the passing of Gordon Day yesterday. Tributes from promoters, managers, riders, journos, sponsors, mechanics and of course the fans from many clubs from all around the world.. Sadly missed. Rest in Peace Gordy.

R.I.P. Gordy. He was a permanent fixture at Poole Speedway for many many years and could always be found in the pits on match days. He was the 'go-to' guy for all and any information about speedway - not just Poole - and friend to many riders, sponsors and fans. His family would like to stress that Gordy's death was NOT Covid 19-related. Sincere condolences to Barbara and his family.

They will save at least that much by the reductions in what they pay riders!!

Chris also added that he is now once again living in Ferndown - just outside Poole/Bournemouth but was getting ready to uproot to Torun - just waiting to find out if Poland's 2nd tier (Torun were relegated in 2019!) were operating the same rules and regs as the Ekstraleague..

Well Batch is in the same traffic jam in Poland as Doyley this morning having travelled overnight by ferry to Holland. I assume Batch also has gone with the same club blessing as Doyley?!

(Incidentally next Wednesday its Poole v Brummies from 2013 if you want to know what to avoid!) As for this section being 'your' league, well 'simples' seems to be an appropriate word.
