  1. Co-Promoters Rosco and Kilby have both stated that Robins will definitely be back in 2022.
  2. More TV money for each of the six teams!!!!
  3. Why are Poole looking to follow suit? There may yet be an attempt to entice them back into the Premiership?? Who knows
  4. Assuming we get some speedway with some crowds at some point, does Swindon's decision mean that Poole can use Adam Ellis after all?!
  5. Very specific reasons at Swindon though!!
  6. Well they are at the moment.............!!!!
  7. Why on earth would the sport seek to exclude any club that has the finances in place to compete at their chosen level for a full season of fixtures whether we start in May or not? I really don't get all the continued sniping about past BSPA decisions. The BSPL now have some of the 'younger' promoters on board so hopefully some fresh ideas and proposals for the wider good of the sport. Why won't the likes of Messrs Bates, Louis, M's Hancock etc do better than previous attempts? Promoters continue to be blamed for 'self-interest' but isn't that exactly what the missing top riders are doing? No blame directed at either group from me,
  8. In many ways although very sad it will be a relief for Neil, Susie and family knowing that Ken's suffering with dementia is now over. R.I.P. Legend.
  9. I'm sure I read it somewhere that Doyley - having lived in UK for some years - is going to seek British Citizenship in the not too distant future.
  10. Last year there were a few fixture options on the table for a curtailed season (which Lee Kilby worked on) depending what start date was allowed. Why would similar options plus one or two others eg 6-man teams etc not be on the table for 2021. All Promoters know what the options are - they just need to further discuss, vote and get a majority view.
  11. I'm sure they've all attended previous AGMs in their underpants..........
  12. Yes you are right. I didn't scroll down to the end of the Gillman Speedway results page. Just wanted to see if Bailey was in the meeting.
  13. Thats a repeat of last week's Speedway Star article!!
  14. Well he didn't take part in the Gillman meeting yesterday. A meeting incidentally won by Jaimon Lidsey; 2nd Jason Crump; 3rd Justin Sedgman.
  15. There are lots of official and non-official comments from various promotions about ' considering the bigger picture', rather than what may or may not be best for their individual club.
  16. On facebook someone has posted a sort of update that Gillman Speedway have stated that he is back in their line-up for their meeting today/tomorrow, which suggests that someone in authority has restored his licence?! Don't know if its true or not
  17. I think they've 'zoomed' it, as they can't actually meet up!!
  18. Reading the various messages today on/from the BSPL and club websites I guess all promoters have been encouraged to be positive about starting as soon as is possible in 2021.
  19. Good point. Its so long since I worked that I missed that advice!!
  20. Riders will also have to live in the same tier as their clubs operate if travelling between tiers (or indeed from other countries) is still the requirement.
  21. All very well if you have access to your track/stadium at weekends??!!!
  22. ...and yet there are still 20+ promoters/business men/fans (Including some in a younger age group) across the UK who declare their intention to run each year with some eg Eastbourne already forward planning for 2022 and beyond!!!
