Just for info, when Sam Hagon rode for Poole he was told by the management that he must learn to ride the inside line and not always go wide!!

The difference nowadays is that the Championship is not based on riders equivalent to the likes LasseBjerre, Taylor Poole and Kevin Doolan. Clubs each have 3,4 or 5 riders with Premiership team places. -

Economically 'safe' is the key, especially when you don't have control of the stadium or its costs!! As stated by others, Poole still get amongst the better attendances across either league because fans (mostly) like what they see and keep coming. Danny Ford has only recently stated (Speedway Star) that Poole will not replace Birmingham next year, nor any other team considering stepping down (eg, rumours about Spires and Tigers!!). Also if/when Coventry come back Matt Ford (as the Promoter) has said it would be at Championship level. -

Last night Redcar and Glasgow on Friday had 5 and 4 Premiership riders respectively. Berwick next week have 5 riders in Premiership teams. Poole themselves have 4. Championship racing is far more competitive and has much more fixture variety. Goodness knows what the League structure will be in 2026 with no Brummies and various other rumours about current 'premiership' teams?! -

There's never too much success!!! Being in my mid-70s now, it takes some special racing to get me up and out of my grandstand seat and cheering. I did that twice last night!! I think I actually worried my granddaughter!!!🤣 -

'Felt that track prep in the UK was poor and dangerous'! Yet its in Poland where his and most of the other serious injuries happen. ...although what this has to do with Poole 2025 I don't know?!

Wind up!!😀 I think most clubs are 'sounding out' riders for next season - without being certain of what the league structure and points limit are going to be!! Failing to plan is planning to fail, as they say......

Is that Grove a cul-de-sac?🤣👍 -
If that option comes down to extra cost for clubs then you might be surprised at how many opt for a new stronger NL?!
-
Zach wants to follow his brother and get a full time Polish team contract, so may make a similar decision about Championship racing- assuming any changes to the British racing structure allow it.
-
Not sure, about that? Rowe is on a 2-year contract -- whatever that means.,.!?

People don't seem to realise how difficult it can be to get 16 riders (or 14 if 2 teams) of similar ndl-level ability to get to a midweek meeting once let alone on a regular basis.
-
As Starkey said in interview the track was different tonight - so easy to ride with not so much material on it compared to how most of the team want it for League meetings. Incidentally 20 heats run in under 2 hours. Only 3 d/qs or slide-offs. Only 4 points separating the top 5 finishers. Well done to all and both current Pirates on the podium.

It's relatively last minute. Trying to get ndl riders to a midweek track is difficult enough!!
