  1. If the strengthened-up Pirates finally accept the surprise invitation to the Prem Cup and manage to beat Sheffield then they will be up against Brum or Leicester in the S/F so suitable guests/ assets shouldn't be an issue eg Cook, Brennan, Kurtz, Holders etc........🫠
  2. Maybe due to some offtrack commitments early season? Imo its more to do with the dates rather than the team line-up!!!?
  3. ...says the expert on Championship teams!! It's only til July 1st. Fine for making the playoffs.
  4. Both want tto get better with bigger clubs.
  5. But it has to make a profit or at least wash its face. It had to be bailed once only which was when Poole went from Prem to Championship. That's why the Fords work so hard with sponsors.
  6. As its the Edinburgh thread I didn't want to go into anymore Poole-related detail.
  7. Where has that been said? And who said it?
  8. Yeah. Never blame the driver!!!🫣
  9. It never ceases to amaze how interested so many non-Pirate 'fans' are in all things Poole Speedway and how personal and vitriolic the comments can be!! Apologies for the delay in replying but the hospital was running late... So - In one of the 38 point team options, Vinnie was included but possibly in the 1-5. In one of the 40 point team options the 1-5 and number 6 is a different line-up with the extra 2 points to play with. - As for the BSPL Board, Danny Ford advised that he needed to step down for 2025, due to additional 'off-track' personal commitments. It's not my place to say what they are but he was 100% forthcoming to the club's sponsors! He is replaced by Edinburgh's John Campbell, but has agreed to remain as 'first reserve' as and when required, subject to commitments!! NB. its the BSPL's place to make their announcement. So I hope thats sufficient for everyone, but I guess we'll see.......
  10. They are on 4.00 and 3.00 respectively so neither fit!
  11. Only James of those three would fit. It'll be a 2 pointer until July 1st when there may be more than one change based on GSAs upto 23rd June cut-off. With a later start to the season and careful management of fixtures from Easter to June, it'll be interesting!! I'm sure the Fords have all options considered.......
  12. In a 38 point team including Vinnie, the 1-5 would have been different. Maybe even with Vinnie in the 1-5?!
  13. But successful and entertaining teams also have to win away,as Poole did this year at every track in either League, Cup or BSN.
  14. The local council are seeking to rename Wimborne Road to Trophy Place.😇 Although Champion Way is also under consideration along with Treble Avenue.😂
  15. Although the Championships largest attendances don't seem to agree with you.
  16. I wonder if Jody Scott could be Pooles starting 2 pointer and then when released at end June could rejoin Oxford with a fit again Scott Nicholls?
  17. Bearing in mind Poole announced Richard Lawson on Sept 1st (his testimonial) and then Danny Ford said in November that the whole 1-7 would be announced by Christmas - reiterated on Saturday - I guess its all been planned carefully. 2025 Season tickets already announced with prices frozen at 2024 rates and some new additional sponsors coming on board - all is well at Wimborne Road, with a new track grader blade in situ and new air fence planned in readiness for 2026!!
  18. No problems at all. Rider announcements are spread out to get maximum media coverage- traditional and social. No brainer really.
  19. Apologies. I must try to adjust my tone. I was merely trying to point out that I have notseen or heard his (Ryan's) name anywhere else than in the one single post on this thread. So much so I had to look up his SON2 inclusion. In any case Poole's remaining 2 riders should be named by Christmas, so not long to wait.
