  1. Its Matt that has been doing the negotiating!! Believe it or not there are communication links between France and UK!!! A number of other clubs are operating a similar 'block' approach - I guess it depends on exactly what reduced capacity each club is operating to and who sets that capacity? Its just as well Matt retains good relationships with BCP Council as I hear that its mainly down to their pressure that the stadium will open at all!! Anyway all season ticket holders have been emailed today (or if no email then a tele call in next 24 hours).
  2. Personally I think its a great shame not to be able to call on 5 others from your bubble/2 households! What we don't know is who set the 30% capacity? I can't imagine it was Matt/Danny!! So some fans will unfortunately be unlucky for hopefully this one meeting. Lets not forget that more stadium stewards will be required - probably as a condition of the Council - plus the question of who pays for them? Also still no clarification about the glass grandstand/bars/restaurant/loos etc? Still more info to come in 48 hours.......
  3. Great news - yes the Pirates are back at home on 9th June vs Berwick. Bring it on.
  4. So 18 months or so ago Glasgow announced they had pulled out of league racing as they couldn't afford to run with reduced numbers attending. Now it appears that due to Scottish rules they can run behind closed doors?! Presumably this is due to the Govt grant/cash handout (rather than a loan) ??
  5. The Berwick home fixture is the only scheduled home fixture before the Govt lifting of Stage 4 Lockdown on June 21st! Bearing in mind Poole's decision to drop to the Championship was primarily financial, perhaps its just not viable to run with a reduced crowd. Poole still have to find the money to pay the riders for the away meetings!!
  6. Already one there since October 2019! but always nice to have a foot in both camps.
  7. I haven't seen an Indian strain since The last of the Mohicans!!
  8. He talks about 'dotting the 'i's' and crossing the 't's' on the final numbers allowed and the staffing within the stadium (bearing in mind Stadia UK laid off all their staff when they stopped the greyhounds!). Fully committed to all the away meetings as per fixture list - which is a huge financial commitment in itself - but may be a slight delay - one week - in starting the home meetings. The Plymouth home KOC meeting has already been put back from 26/5 to 2nd June on the BSPL fixture list. All the team are based in the UK (Zane Kelleher arriving today) and have few if any continental commitments to interfere with their UK meetings Can't wait..
  9. Theres no need at the moment cos theres nothing happening. Dan's update in the SS today gives a broader view of the current situ rather than whats been in the local media.
  10. Its the flight availability as much as the fixtures!!
  11. I believe they had to give notice to the Covid testing for Hospital staff to the end of May!!
  12. They are not new landlords! They are the same Stadia UK that stopped the greyhounds permanently and laid off all the stadium staff.
  13. Potentially anyone riding Poland on a Sunday and/or Denmark on a Wednesday - flights being the expected nightmare!!
  14. She did some pits work when Sky were broadcasting. Since then she has covered various other motorsports for BT and others, as well as Boxing, She should be good. ALSO very good to see a one hour highlights programme on Quest on Tuesday at 11pm. Quest is available on Freeview as well as Sky, Virgin and Freesat.
  15. Each club has to reach a capacity agreement with its local authority so there are bound to be some differences. Whether its the same online booking system for all clubs remains to be seen.
  16. Theres nothing like taking a small quote out of context is there. The full article gives a much more positive view on the current situation with commitment to all the away fixtures even if there is a delay in the first home meeting! All the team except Zane - who arrives Friday - are here and raring to go. More details later this week............
  17. There is also a rumour that the glass stand is being used as a 'Covid test centre until end June' - but I've not been down to see it and its not listed an any of the local test links!!
  18. The travellers were in the lorry park rather than the main car park - apparently!
  19. The announcement of the possible delay of one week was made this morning before the Govt confirmation of 'Step 3'. Now that has happened the discussions with landlords and local council can now continue based upon a capacity of around 2000 ish and what social distancing measures can be controlled.
  20. They are probably the extra catering caravans in case the glass grandstand/ restaurant isn't functioning?!
  21. Perhaps they haven't realised that a 1930 meeting start time actually means no earlier than 1945hrs?!
  22. Bearing in mind where some of the riders are travelling from, we still don't know the confirmed line-ups? It surely wouldn't happen that the full 1-7s are announced and then on the day several rider changes (guests/rr etc) are confirmed - would it?!
