  1. The difficulty the Prem teams have had is with the rider changes at every club. When the full 1-7s are confirmed then each club can accept their draft fixture list or suggest any changes due to rider availability and/or fixture clashes ie foreign meetings/internationals/U.21s etc.
  2. Most speedway tracks/stadia have a maximum capacity agreed by the H&S Executive. In most cases I would suggest an attendance anywhere between 25% and 50% of capacity would be sufficient for most meetings - except perhaps Bank Holiday meetings which usually attract bigger than usual crowds.
  3. So what is happening with Nicolai Klindt? Despite recent articles/interviews where he 'hoped' to fulfill his Ipswich commitments, he has nevertheless got a team place in Poland, Sweden and Denmark. With today's announcement that he is also back in the Danish S.O.N. squad I doubt he will want to p!$$ off his home federation nor give up lucrative opportunities in Poland and Sweden. Having said all that, he does live in this country so any travelling abroad will also be a challenge............?!
  4. Maybe just an investigation into how the FIM today published the draft list??!! Albeit Somerset's fixtures are still included!!
  5. Very quiet from the Glasgow promotion after their pleas to stay as they were. Are they going to run in 2021?
  6. Speedway Star interview with Anders today states he has already got a Prem and Champ place sorted for 2021. In any case he finished in Somerset's top 5 in 2019 on a 4.38 average so even with the 2.5% discount he has an average higher than either Keleher or Cook so couldn't ride at 7, could he?
  7. Brady is itching to come over according to the Speedway Star today.
  8. Of course the Daily Star will publish Speedway news if its newsworthy - their Speedway correspondent is Peter Oakes!!!
  9. I think in Adam's case, if things didn't work out abroad, Poole would have him back if the points limit allowed. He has several Poole-based sponsors!!
  10. The stadium and track looked immaculate for Ken Middleditch's final lap of Wimborne Road yesterday! If there were any doubts over Stadium availability then I would have thought the Speedway Office at the stadium would have closed - which it hasn't! With the Stadia UK Management still on site I can't see why they would turn down income from the Speedway?! Not sure any 'announcement' is required if its 'business as usual' other than clarification on the hospitality and refreshment offer?!
  11. That would mean Rory at 1?! Can't see that with Danny already in the number 1 kevlars and skipper.
  12. So Danny Ford announces there will be 'a few changes' to the Poole 1-7!!!
  13. Fixtures are probably being held up due to the ongoing discussions as to whether Plymouth are in or out! I'm sure as soon as that is sorted they will shake it all about.
  14. I think they are all waiting to see which riders might be released before announcing their own 1-7s.
  15. It may be that they have both agreed to ride in someone's testimonial at Poole?
  16. Not that it matters much but in Denmark their season is being virtually cut in half. Adam is signed as a 'B" rider - therefore maybe only a squad member?
  17. Just to add to the intrigue around Poole's team re-building for 2021, on the facebook 'Memories of Poole Pirates' page, the administrator posted a Speedway Star cover showing Jason Crump and Bjarne Pedersen winning the Pairs back in 2007. Underneath was a comment from Matt Ford " Watch out for some extremely exciting news about these guys"!!! Let the intrigue commence.............
  18. I'm sure the BSPL announcement on Thursday mentioned 'any Brit with average of 4.00 or less' would get a star-rating of 3, 2 or below. Neil Vatcher will have the best overview.
  19. How do we know what standard of racing we are getting? There hasn't been any yet!
  20. ...and then everyone (on here at least) would be on at them for not saying anything!! In any normal year after the AGM in November, fixtures aren't usually available to fans til Jan/Feb anyway, even though clubs have their draft lists around the turn of the year.
  21. That would mean Schlein coming in as the new number 1 - I don't see that somehow. Also Anders finished in Somerset's 1-5 so may not get the right 'star rating' for a reserve?
  22. Surely their priority is not to treat riders like mushrooms, then to let the fans know. Nothing worse than issuing a fixture list and then having to make wholesale changes if riders have fixture clashes. Its not as if fixtures are starting next week is it? Take a chill pill my friend.
  23. Genuine question - Are the 'rising stars' allowed to double up/down in the top 2 leagues?
