  1. They are not new landlords! They are the same Stadia UK that stopped the greyhounds permanently and laid off all the stadium staff.
  2. Potentially anyone riding Poland on a Sunday and/or Denmark on a Wednesday - flights being the expected nightmare!!
  3. She did some pits work when Sky were broadcasting. Since then she has covered various other motorsports for BT and others, as well as Boxing, She should be good. ALSO very good to see a one hour highlights programme on Quest on Tuesday at 11pm. Quest is available on Freeview as well as Sky, Virgin and Freesat.
  4. Each club has to reach a capacity agreement with its local authority so there are bound to be some differences. Whether its the same online booking system for all clubs remains to be seen.
  5. Theres nothing like taking a small quote out of context is there. The full article gives a much more positive view on the current situation with commitment to all the away fixtures even if there is a delay in the first home meeting! All the team except Zane - who arrives Friday - are here and raring to go. More details later this week............
  6. There is also a rumour that the glass stand is being used as a 'Covid test centre until end June' - but I've not been down to see it and its not listed an any of the local test links!!
  7. The travellers were in the lorry park rather than the main car park - apparently!
  8. The announcement of the possible delay of one week was made this morning before the Govt confirmation of 'Step 3'. Now that has happened the discussions with landlords and local council can now continue based upon a capacity of around 2000 ish and what social distancing measures can be controlled.
  9. They are probably the extra catering caravans in case the glass grandstand/ restaurant isn't functioning?!
  10. Perhaps they haven't realised that a 1930 meeting start time actually means no earlier than 1945hrs?!
  11. Bearing in mind where some of the riders are travelling from, we still don't know the confirmed line-ups? It surely wouldn't happen that the full 1-7s are announced and then on the day several rider changes (guests/rr etc) are confirmed - would it?!
  12. Such a shock and very sad for all concerned. Jon would often drop into Poole Stadium on matchdays if he was going to or from the West Country for his surfing. We always had a chat having worked with him on one of the indoor meetings. A good friend to Matt Ford - see his words on Poole website - RIP Jon.
  13. Like everyone else - waiting for the final confirmation that speedway can/will start.
  14. I thought all this weekends extraliga meetings were cancelled due to weather forecast?! If Premier/Freesports are still showing meetings on todays TV schedule then I guess they are re-runs of last week?
  15. With confirmation about Step 3 on 17th May still to be announced, I note all Prem clubs are going live with their online ticket sales from 11th May at 0900hrs, presumably based on a nudge nudge wink wink from Govt by 10th May. Expect those remaining Championship clubs to make their announcements on a similar timescale - if not sooner.
  16. So all Prem tickets available online from 9.00am on 11th May.
  17. Bjarne 2nd top-scored with 11+1 in the away defeat at Holsted!! (Masters only scored 5)
  18. Lee quoted in Speedy Star as 'fully expecting to be back at Swindon for 2022'!
  19. I think the start of the Swedish League has been deferred to June!
  20. Surely a change of normal rules for a less than normal season?! Maybe for TV meetings as the last thing TV would want is to see a couple of 'wobblers' (no disrespect to NL riders) in addition to the rising stars.
  21. The big question is whether both teams will have a full 1-7 or if guests will be in demand. Should be interesting bearing in mind 5 of the 6 Premiership teams are due to be racing that night!
  22. Eurosport have the contract for both British speedway plus GPs from next year 2022. When the contract was initially announced there was talk of Discovery/Eurosport setting up a 'Speedway Channel' in the longer term, so I guess their presentation will be very professional.
