  1. Danny Ford has stated more than once that Nathan is a long-term project so I don't see him leaving any time soon. Its the heat leaders that have 'gone off the boil' a little - maybe down to the track but that doesn't explain the poor gating! Bomber proved you can gate and win from every gate even though it made the meeting very processional!!! Incidentally the July team average is 43.06 - a mere 1.06 above the 42 point team building average I believe. It'll be interesting to see what it is by the cut-off date for the play-offs?! Do Summer Trophy meetings count towards GSA and team averages?
  2. ....which is very similar to what has happened/is happening at Poole. Greyhounds are long gone - several trainers transferred to Swindon!! The only difference being that GI don't 'own' Poole Stadium!!
  3. So it seems as though the next 'protest' will be when the greyhounds are on?!
  4. Danny is declared fit for Poole tomorrow.
  5. Danny King fit to ride on Wednesday. New July averages see Steve Worrall at 1 and Drew Kemp replacing Ben Cook in the 1-5.
  6. So with the new July GSA's out, Barker goes to 1 and no more Harris guesting for a month at least.
  7. That would be a long way to go for home meetings!!
  8. Lawson guests for Glasgow at Plymouth on Tuesday (tomorrow) And the July averages will see Steve Worrall up to Number 1 and Drew Kemp replacing Ben Cook in the 1-5
  9. It's more about what reception Lawson gets after last week!!!! (ps not sure if MPT is fit yet?). It'll be good to watch and listen on BSN!
  10. Harris and Howarth to be used again this week as the Coliseum welcomes Glasgow with Richard Lawson guesting for Craig Cook!! Should make things interesting......
  11. Bombers gotta get through safely at Wolves tonight and Plymouth tomorrow first.
  12. Poole won't be missing from the 2023 season!!
  13. Just to add a bit of balance, for many clubs especially those that rent their stadia, programme sales and advertising are a valuable and often only income source in addition to admissions and any sponsorship! Even more important if the promotion don't benefit from any food/beverage or car park income!!
  14. I hope Scotty is fit for pits duty at the GP tomorrow?!
  15. Come on then Robins fans where is your support?
  16. PIRATES charger Richard Lawson felt he was “wrongly disqualified” after being excluded following a frightening crash involving Plymouth’s Michael Palm Toft on Wednesday. An ambulance was called on track during the 45-45 draw between the sides at Wimborne Road after Dane Palm Toft’s bike had reared up on bend four during heat seven, while he and Lawson were battling for the lead. Lawson had already passed Kyle Howarth during the heat and attempted to dive under Palm Toft, before the Dane took out two panels of air fence while being flung up into the air. Thankfully, Palm Toft was able to walk away from the nasty spill. He was withdrawn from the meeting with a suspected shoulder injury. Giving his take on the incident, Lawson told Pirates’ website: “I haven't actually seen the replay of the incident but after turn three he (Palm Toft) took a glance and I felt like he had seen me and knew where I was going. “And I wasn't going to take him straight to the fence but he ran a bit out wide and mistimed the dirt and he got out of control. “I feel like there was no contact. I can't be certain of that but, if there was, it was while he was out of control. “So, for me I believe I was wrongly disqualified and I just wish the referee would have taken a look at the replay before he made his decision.” Speaking on the centre green post-meeting, Whitehaven-born Lawson added: “Obviously I am not trying to take people out and I don’t want to see anybody injured but he (Palm Toft) is not very happy. His wife’s not very happy. “But that’s speedway.” (Taken from today's Bournemouth Echo)
  17. Here is your chance Robins fans - Join the protest at the stadium on Monday 27th June at 6pm 'Save Our Stadium' with the Swindon Advertiser in attendance.
