  1. The Echo article says we are staying in the second tier for 2022. A lot also depends on whether the Rising Star scheme continues with 2 per team and what the points limit is. Clearly the promoters already have a good idea of what is going be rubber stamped at the agm hence signings being agreed at several clubs already.
  2. I'm 99% sure that contingency plans are underway for Poole to run their 2nd leg if Friday proves impossible! Of course if Glasgow's leg is postponed again on Thursday then that could be rearranged for Sunday at Ashfield.
  3. Both Cook brothers and/or another Aussie?! The Echo article does state Championship racing in 2022.
  4. Swindon have already announced and confirmed they will not be running in 2022. Any decision from Poole will be a financial one having lost big money in 2019 due to poor attendances on 'off' race nights ie Thursdays (despite finishing top of the Premiership) and the loss and let-down of their main sponsor mid-season costing them in excess of £20k. I cannot see any 'carrot' big enough in the BSPL finances to attract them back after just one truncated Championship season - unless Eurosport have decided to increase their funding and are desperate to broadcast from somewhere other than NSS, Monmore or anywhere north of Watford!!!!!!???
  5. Poole have been ready since disposing of Leicester on 16th October!!
  6. Goodness knows where you are getting your 'rumours' from? Leicester to move from a Saturday night?? Swindon are NOT running in 2022 (yet to be decided if ever again?!)
  7. At the moment Poole to run on Saturday or Sunday is as much to do with availability and goodwill of the Poole Stadium management and staff, rather than any 'reluctance' of the Poole Speedway promoters/riders.
  8. Its usually a Thurs/Fri/Sat or Fri/Sat/Sun in the 1st or 2nd week of November. Maybe the 2nd weekend is more likely as all clubs are usually expected to produce their season's final financial position before they can declare for the next season!!
  9. Great to hear that Stefan Neilsen will be at the stadium on Wednesday. He will be presented with the money from the recent collection PLUS a further donation from the Poole R.E.F. (Riders Equipment Fund!). With his average (4.79 minus British %) he's gotta be in line for a 2022 team place. ps. Zaine will be ok - he'll have the full Aussie contingent in the pits advising/assisting!
  10. Stefan's Poole average is 4.79 and his Sheffield average is listed as 3.00 (presumably assessed?).
  11. The Rising Star scheme should increase to '2 per team' only in the Championship, with the Premiership remaining at 1 Rising Star! Just my opinion.
  12. With the AGM only a few weeks away I guess everyone will hear something then?
  13. It'll be interesting to see who Poole choose to guest for Stefan, as I guess they'll keep Zach Cook for the play-off final?! Ruml maybe?
  14. To rebuild some of the club finances!! Are you really a Pirates fan as you seem to be critical of quite a few things to do with Poole?
  15. Good luck to the Pirates today. With Middlo and several riders travelling up yesterday, it should be a good close meeting.
  16. I think its more a case of people having weekend jobs in clubs, bars, restaurants etc.
  17. Just a bit liberal with those Poole assets Falcon!!??
  18. Just asking!! He is a 2021 Premiership Final Winner after all!!
  19. ....and you never know could be a replacement (6.93) for Rooboy???
  20. Just a thought with this signing - and bearing in mind Bomber's grasstrack/longtrack meetings - , but any likelihood that Berwick will go Premiership in 2022??
  21. As long as the visa situation can be sorted then I reckon there will be at least 3 new Aussie lads to UK racing!!!! NB. with most fans raving about young Mr Hellstrom-Bangs, I see his interview in the Star this week reckons he'll be doing Poland/Sweden/Denmark in 2022, with the aim to do UK in 2-3 years time!!
  22. Depending on the weather forecast next week I suppose Wednesday 27th could always become a double-header? But all things being equal I would think any combination of Fri/Sat/Sun would be chosen for the play-off final legs subject to the availability of Stadium staff at Poole?!
  23. This has been stated many times over - yet nobody has ever tested it!! I wonder why?..........
  24. So how will the Monarchs do riding their 3rd big meeting in as many days? Subject to anything untoward happening in the 2 Glasgow play-off ties, Both teams as expected although Poole have Glasgow's Connor Bailey guesting for Stefan Neilsen at reserve! (presumably saving Zach Cook potentially for the play-offs?!). Thoughts
