  1. Any confirmed news on whether Jack Thomas is still guesting for Poole - after some on here reckoned his November average no longer allows him to (despite no average for him appearing on the updated BSPL website)?
  2. Absolutely! Thats why I posted the comment!!
  3. They may offer more money per point etc in Sweden! - Lets hope the riders all get paid the rate that their contract states.
  4. Jon Cook was the BSPA management member given the task of compiling the League fixture lists for all at the time!!
  5. That can't happen. Sheffield already have Poole as their swapping partners!!
  6. Of course, Oxford will also be looking for an air fence, a team and maybe even a promoter??
  7. I don't think you'll be the only club looking to replace their air fence?! A number of them bought around the same time are now coming to the end of their natural (10 year?) life. However if today's rumours are true then Kent should have one going on the cheap!
  8. As good as Bomber is to watch, he does have the reputation of being very 'bullish' in his financial negotiations!!
  9. If true it must come as a shock to Scott Nicholls as his interview in this week's Speedway Star is all about him looking forward to captaining another Kent Kings 1-7 in 2022!! Of course the email to Dan could also be a (im)polite way of telling him to look elsewhere for a team place!!?
  10. Surely Jack Thomas being a 2star Rising Star can still guest for Stefan Neilsen (4.79) on Tuesday, no matter what his 'real' average might be?!
  11. Middlo's interview in this week's Speedway Star gives a heavy hint that the only thing to be sorted out for both the Cook Brothers in 2022 is finding mechanics for them as this season they've mainly been spannering for each other - with the occasional help of Jack Holder, Chris Holder and Brady Kurtz!!
  12. The new Oxford Stadium owner (The greyhound chap) clearly stated in his interviews, press release and Oxford Mail article when he took over that 'Friday night would again become Speedway night'! OK that was probably before he fully appreciated all the 'politics' of British Speedway such as the race night 'pecking order' amongst other things!!
  13. Serious question - as someone who has been directly involved in a venue hosting a major convention with high security, will the extra COP26 attendees and Police and security services have any impact on access to the Ashfield Stadium area? (I'm not overly familiar with the city other than the area immediately around the SSE Arena.) I would imagine there will be an additional security presence at the airport and any other travel hub, with at the very least Police asking people to 'move along' ?
  14. Whats your point? Both clubs requested special dispensation to extend into November. Permission was granted as any delay was primarily down to other teams fixtures not being completed and was hardly the fault of either team in the final!

  16. Agree about his racing style, but with any change of track I can't see a 'significant' improvement in his average of 8.34!!
  17. That was the original stated intention - but I'm hearing it may be held over til 2023 due to this 'truncated' season.
  18. Anders Rowe may look for a home track closer to home - he will be a steal on his average when fully fit!
  19. Exactly! At least for another season......! ps. I wonder if the 2 'agreed deals' for 2022 are both the Cook brothers, as judging by what riders were saying after Wednesday night its highly unlikely Basso will be back next year? However Matt Ford is pretty damn good at recognising and introducing new talent to Poole, so watch this space...........!!
  20. I gather Dan Bewley is being 'advised' by Woffy, so don't expect him to ride UK next year!!! Hopefully he (and any other riders choosing Sweden) will actually get paid what they are contracted for?!
  21. Maybe there will be a new speedway dynasty starting near to Limoges at some point in the future?! Maybe the 'Briance' dynasty?
  22. Judging by all the flood alerts going out at the moment in the north of England and southern Scotland plus all the extra security for some conference or other, lets hope that riders can even get to Ashfield in the first place on Tuesday!!?
  23. Ah ok. Well he won't be riding for them will he?
