  1. r/r for Thomas who is 5th in Oxford's averages so Starke, Heeps and Ruml can take the r/r rides, unless they have to use a t/s at some stage?!
  2. What are you on about?? ps. That 'nail in the coffin' has been 'final' for so many years!!!!
  3. BBC South Today giving a decent preview of both meetings this evening!! They are usually pretty good at giving meeting reports but a mention, with video footage, before the meetings is a step in the right direction.
  4. Danny and Steve have the two higher averages for August. I guess it might depend on how riders go at Oxford on Tuesday.
  5. I believe the track reserves are now Smith and McGurk ie BV Colts riders Mountain and Hume in for Cook and Barker.
  6. Hans and MPT both want to be back for Plymouth's meeting at Poole on the 10th!!
  7. Surely the fact that the applications have been made by the actual construction company - Taylor Wimpey - is a positive signal?! Either the MP or GI must have put pressure on Taylor Wimpey to move things along....!
  8. They'll be holding the British Final on a Monday Next!!!! Oh hang on......but those that miss it will probably see a stronger lineup (ex Bewley) at Poole on 24th!!
  9. Yes. My point was more about it being 6-rider teams. I assume Poole will go without Ablitt which in theory makes them stronger with only the 2 Cook boys having no Sheffield track experience.
  10. Isn't the final a 3xteam/6 rider meeting on a Sunday at Sheffield - or have I imagined that?? Ps. Ostergaard withdraws after 2 races today
  11. Both teams at full strength as long as all those in the British Final come through unscathed. Should be close at Sandy Lane.
  12. So that was a great night's speedway, made better by the efforts of Birmingham's Sedgeman, Starke, Complin and to a lesser extent Morley. Complin picking up where he left off when Newcastle were the visitors - excellent value from him, on the pace and around the boards - brilliant. The whole 'Brummies' team as a whole and individually were applauded by the good-size crowd and made a very good fist of a meeting - particularly in the early heats before Poole really got into their stride. Of the many photos taken by various photographers last night, one of the more intriguing shots was one of Plymouth Team Manager (and regular Poole visitor) Garry May chatting deeply with Kyle Newman!!!
  13. You can only use the 'glass stand' entrance if you want to use a card!! Cash is accepted at all entrances as are online tickets (seperate queue).
  14. I thought the season started with K.O.Cup meetings?! ....and it looks like Poole will be waiting for their semi-final opponents until September!!
  15. So according to Pirates website preview, the Brummies team for Friday reads as follows: 1.r/r; 2.Neilsen(if fit); 3. Starke (Guest); 4. Morris(if fit); 5. Sedgeman; 6. Bowtell(Guest - if fit); 7. Morley (Guest). No indication of what happens if fitness tests are failed?! ps. I shall be taking a couple of extra pens for the programme changes!! NB. Poole have r/r for Kemp at 2 and Connor Coles guesting for Ablitt at 7.
