All I said was he had problems off track as well!! I am very aware of his health issues which may or may not have been a contributory factor to what occurred in his personal life away from the track. One less home league meeting due to one less club. Same ko Cup and mini league fixtures. Plus a couple of challenges maybe? It's still possible to have a fortnightly habit especially those Wednesday tracks who will be away on some Wednesdays.

Maybe they thought attendances would drop as people might not be able to afford more meetings, especially with extra financial pressures from April 2023?

I think that with the economic pressures on everyone, a minimum home meeting schedule of 12 (in Poole's case) is more than acceptable. Of course if progress is made to the play-offs (top 6 again; out of 9 this time) as well as the KO Cup and Trophy meetings then it looks good. Start at Easter with some sort of Bank Holiday Trophy meeting or similar then 4 months (allowing for any rain-offs)to get the competitive meetings in before the cut-off. Perfectly sensible planning imo.
