Masters would probably pick up some sort of ban if he missed this evening having missed Saturday at Leicester but rode in Poland yesterday scoring 4 points.?

I share your pain - my 10 year old grandson is the same - but I can always give him back!! -

A bit of parental guidance required there I feel!!! -
So I'll start this thread as the Pirates website has already posted their preview. Poole expect to line up at full strength with their usual 1-7 and are wondering what reception the team in general and Richard Lawson in particular will get? No team or guest news from the Gladiators yet as I assume there are still doubts over MPT as well as Hans (last night's Premiership withdrawal!), and as well as the ongoing Kennett absence 'facility'. I hope the vandalism that took place at the Coliseum on Wednesday doesn't affect Plymouth's ability to host the fixture....? As I understand it a large water bowser was destroyed, just when its likely to be needed on the 'hottest day of the year so far'! Thoughts?

Still does - if he knows what the ref is like!!! Unfortunately with the inconsistencies amongst referees, some will let it go and some will put the red lights on if there is a clear advantage. -

Very sorry to hear of all the damage and vandalism at the Coliseum last night while the team were at Birmingham. Seems to be an ongoing problem by some idiots. -
All very well considering changes, but where will the replacements come from??

Marketing and selling a 'once a year' gp ( even with attendances falling!) is an entirely different proposition to weekly team speedway for 6/7 months of the year. As far as your scattergun approach to 99% of the populous is concerned any marketing expert would laugh all the way to the bank.

Christina would have put the red light on!!! -
Poole got Basso in on a 2year sponsored work permit intending to use him in 2022 as well. It then became apparent that Glasgow had approached him and even though Poole were prepared to work around his Danish fixtures he chose Glasgow. So Poole negotiated an asset swap with the Facennas - Basso for Lawson.

OK assuming that all those things need correcting (and they are not just your continual drum banging) I ask again what would be the themes and messages of a national marketing campaign, and who would be the target audience of such a campaign?

The track wasn't fine - but fair play to the track staff for getting it into a raceable condition in the extra hot conditions. (Looking at the forecasted temperatures for next week, goodness knows what conditions will be like - at least its nice and smooth now though!) PS Could somebody please contact the handful of Glasgow fans on the first bend and ask them to return all the shale they must have been covered in and taken away with them......!! -
As a serious question - to all those budding Marketing experts on here - what would be your themes and messages in a National Speedway Marketing and Publicity campaign?? Answers on the back of your nearest 'fag packet' please.

Judging by the photos of the track prep on facebook this morning, there has been plenty of water put down. Whether the track can hold it in this ultra hot weather is the key - along with whatever they've decided to do with the starting grid?! Hoping that if Danny wins the coin toss he goes back to choosing 2&4 in heat 1.!!!! -

Bearing in mind Havvy has virtually no use of his left arm/hand, its hardly surprising he doesn't bother with a programme!! -

...plus a full practice session tomorrow (excepting Zach who is in Poland) so I think we just have to accept the track is likely to be hot, ultra slick and dusty for most of the meeting. -

Well Craig Cook has pulled out of a guest booking tonight at belle Vue and if he rides like he did as a 'home track specialist' for Team GB on Saturday then I doubt we'll have any problem. Referee is Christina Turnbull who will also be watching for any rolling starts............!! -
Whichever Prem club they could sign for, there are only 5 other teams so 'racing in so many meetings' shouldn't be an issue!?
-
Still got KO Cup meeting(s) to schedule in!!
-
Yes but the reduction of speedway clubs has been as much to do with stadium closures as it has been the fault of speedway promotions!! You surely can't blame the speedway clubs at Coventry, Lakeside, Somerset and Swindon for example! They would all still be racing if the stadia were available.
-
....and yet the sport still continues as long as there are stadia that agree to host it!
