  1. So that was a great night's speedway, made better by the efforts of Birmingham's Sedgeman, Starke, Complin and to a lesser extent Morley. Complin picking up where he left off when Newcastle were the visitors - excellent value from him, on the pace and around the boards - brilliant. The whole 'Brummies' team as a whole and individually were applauded by the good-size crowd and made a very good fist of a meeting - particularly in the early heats before Poole really got into their stride. Of the many photos taken by various photographers last night, one of the more intriguing shots was one of Plymouth Team Manager (and regular Poole visitor) Garry May chatting deeply with Kyle Newman!!!
  2. You can only use the 'glass stand' entrance if you want to use a card!! Cash is accepted at all entrances as are online tickets (seperate queue).
  3. I thought the season started with K.O.Cup meetings?! ....and it looks like Poole will be waiting for their semi-final opponents until September!!
  4. So according to Pirates website preview, the Brummies team for Friday reads as follows: 1.r/r; 2.Neilsen(if fit); 3. Starke (Guest); 4. Morris(if fit); 5. Sedgeman; 6. Bowtell(Guest - if fit); 7. Morley (Guest). No indication of what happens if fitness tests are failed?! ps. I shall be taking a couple of extra pens for the programme changes!! NB. Poole have r/r for Kemp at 2 and Connor Coles guesting for Ablitt at 7.
  5. Some Poole fans are also Plymouth fans and will be in Devon on Tuesdays and Poole (when they are at home) on Wednesdays. Quite a few are mates of Garry May - Plymouth Team Manager who is based in Poole and at the Poole track most weeks.
  6. He reportedly drove away from the track?! Surprised he was allowed to!!
  7. Serious question - are there any rules about the number of guests in a 1-7?
  8. I've been to all 3 in a working capacity. Isn't it amazing what European funding can do?!
  9. I wasn't joking. I was being serious. Unfortunately my former venue doesn't have enough capacity to allow it to bid.
  10. Too much strain on his injured shoulder from last nights rides I guess. Can't do irr either so reserves have to take his rides.Plymouth must have run over loads of black cats in Devon!!! (Did someone mention karma?) And now Bowtell in ambulance with damaged knee after heat 1 stoppage and now withdrawn. Nb its started to spit with rain.
  11. Well if you've heard from someone 'in the know' at Plymouth, what else would you expect them to say?!
  12. Still seem to be problems with the track according to updates!?
  13. August averages are out today with Kennett and Barker having identical 8.40 averages. Hans on 7.78 and MPT staying on 7.15
  14. R/r for Kennett. James Wright, Adam Roynon and Connor Coles guesting for mpt, hans and Mcgurk. That's according to Oxford as Plymouth don't seem to want to publicise the meeting on their website.
  15. Lindback would be there like a shot (glass)!! Chris Holder still lives in UK and is coming back for Middlo's testimonial at end of August and I'm fairly sure his Polish club will not be in their play-offs
  16. Averages for the next month change on 23rd ie 23rd July for 1st August!!
