  1. Ah yes those summer months when there is no rain, complaints about dust and no other major competing sports?! It's all too simple ain't it!!?
  2. They need to wait for confirmation of number of clubs. Proposals need to be agreed and ratified at agm.
  3. .. and yet here you are!! Lewy likes to make up the rules as he goes along - it's a Plymouth thing. Been doing it all season.
  4. In it to win it. Elite, Premiership, Championship, K.O.Cup. What's the point otherwise? Any team entering any sport to lose is simply crazy. The bank balance, trophy cabinet, and attendances are evidence enough. Its what most promoters aspire to although not everyone succeeds.
  5. I guess that after all Leicester's recent track issues, their application to join the Premiership will now have the wholehearted support of all the Championship clubs which outnumber the Prem clubs in a vote!
  6. Can't see it being run on Saturday. There'll be fireworks if it is.......
  7. Confirmed OFF on speedwaygb website. Bringing in a motorway blade to try to get the track raceable. NOT yet confirmed but Friday is being discussed between clubs.
  8. Most clubs will have better crowds over a holiday week. Why put on a play off meeting is all I'm saying. Whether you are in a holiday town or not?!
  9. Why would any club that enjoys a fantastic attendance for any meeting in August BH week, choose to have play offs that early? It would be a waste of a decent pay day.
  10. So many clubs are required to hold a minimum number of meetings over the 6-7 month season as part of their stadium rental agreements. Obviously they want/need all meetings to be 'meaningful' in order to maximise attendance through to the end of the season. If clubs only hold meetings say April to August then a stadium landlord could easily say the sport is not worth continuing. It's why building teams to improve, winning and continuing success are important.
  11. How many leagues is Basso doing in 2023? Is it 4 or 5?
