You seem to forget that riders get paid in the main for scoring points not lowering their average!

Leicester lions 2023 (PREMIERSHIP)

That will be great - as long as fans turn up in greater numbers! -
Congrats to Poole asset Chris Holder who announced today he is to become a father for the second time!
-
KK did have a falling out with Middlo, but he had his UK 'manager and family' in the late Gordon Day (P.R.O. and historian) at Poole, so had plenty of 'friends', even though they were as exasperated with him as the fans were. If he was in any way dissatisfied with his racing he was renowned for 'tinkering' with his machinery often against his mechanics, other riders (and manager's) advice!!! Hence his inconsistency and being unwilling to listen!

Leicester are certainly 'speculating to accumulate' with their first 2 signings. Neither will come cheap so I hope the Lions fans turn up in huge numbers on Thursday nights!! -
He's too busy waiting to be a dad for the 2nd time!!
-
Just go to the 2021 final Poole averages on BSPL website.8.18, just before he retired!!(unless he gets a 2.5% reduction as he rides on a British licence ).

It would be great to get official confirmation that Rory is returning - or not!!!
-
All I said was he had problems off track as well!! I am very aware of his health issues which may or may not have been a contributory factor to what occurred in his personal life away from the track. What happened happened so I'm sorry if the comment came across as 'snide'! I was merely stating a fact. As L-C said he always smiles at the less than welcoming greeting he gets from Poole fans. Glasgow fans (and one or two others) need to chill.
-
Not much went right for him OFF track either!!!
-
Oh blimey that'll make Glasgow more of a threat!!

Hans may be back at his parent club with his main sponsor? -
I think the reduction in Championship meetings has made him rethink his Premiership commitment.
-
He has to get the relevant visa first!!!
-
One less home league meeting due to one less club. Same ko Cup and mini league fixtures. Plus a couple of challenges maybe? It's still possible to have a fortnightly habit especially those Wednesday tracks who will be away on some Wednesdays.
-
Maybe they thought attendances would drop as people might not be able to afford more meetings, especially with extra financial pressures from April 2023?
-
Nothing so far announced but may be a SCB decision rather than BSPL?

What the heck has Sandbanks beach got to do with anything? -
Not sure why you are taking that attitude, Poole were one of the movers towards 2 home/2 away!!!
-
so a 6.97 and a 4.00 rider then?

Howarth on 8,66 is rumoured. -
Clearly the 'rubber stamp' ran out of ink so couldn't be ratified.

I think that with the economic pressures on everyone, a minimum home meeting schedule of 12 (in Poole's case) is more than acceptable. Of course if progress is made to the play-offs (top 6 again; out of 9 this time) as well as the KO Cup and Trophy meetings then it looks good. Start at Easter with some sort of Bank Holiday Trophy meeting or similar then 4 months (allowing for any rain-offs)to get the competitive meetings in before the cut-off. Perfectly sensible planning imo.
