Just to add to the mix - Antonio Lindback will be in the country for Steve Worrall's Testimonial on 29th March, the day before P&P day!!!??? Just a thought as he's a Poole asset!

So Antonio Lindback named as the first rider for Poole v Belle Vue for Stevie Worrall's testimonial on 29th March to kick off the Wimborne Road 2023 season.

Surely its the number of years in British speedway that entitles a testimonial?! Anyway in the Poole v Belle Vue meeting on 29th March, Antonio Lindback is the first rider to be named in the Poole side!!

Well I noted there was a new post on the Plymouth thread so clicked in expecting it to announce their final rider (as their website doesn't appear to have been updated since the Starke signing!!!) but stifled a smirk at the BBC Cornwall story and then saw the usual bullrubbish so couldn't resist.

Some of you may already know I had a bad crash at the Australian titles in Adelaide where I suffered some head injuries, after a handful of doctors appointments and meetings with specialists it is not possible for me to get a clearance to ride for 6 months. This is because of the seizures I had on and off the track. This means I will not be heading to Europe until the end of June. Definitely not how I wanted to start this year but it is what it is and I can’t do anything about it. I will use this time off to get stronger mentally and physically. Its gunna be a long 6 months

Having a decent DJ/Presenter is surely a minimum requirement these days, whether working alone or with a Centregreen Announcer?! Poole's DJ - Karlito - has just been selected for all the 2023 SGP series. Not everyone will always agree with the choice of music but nobody can disagree that it dramatically improves the atmosphere and fan experience.

Pooles final average less the 2.5% Brit reduction was 42.28 (with Kemp on 5.20) so only .28 to lose before the 42 became 40 points. (Thomas 4.48; Newman 4.29)

Maybe if Rew had told Poole he was signing for Ippo then both clubs could have split the costs?

According to the Speedway Star this week Newman was always in Plan A with Ablitt until the points limit dropped by 2 points (and there was an issue with a certain 5 point rider!!)
