  1. Judging by both Josh's and Davey's Insta updates, neither are looking to return to UK - or could it all be a smokescreen? Nobody commented about the possibility of Tungate when he was mentioned previously - even to slag off the suggestion?! Admittedly his converted average would rule him out anyway.
  2. With all local media full of all the AFC Bournemouth takeover and the Big Sky Boxing fight in Bournemouth on Saturday, I'm sure any Poole announcements will be timed precisely to get maximum coverage! BTW the next edition of the Piratecast Live video, with special guest, is provisionally scheduled for Weds 21st December............
  3. In the original line-up the track wildcard was listed as Tate Zischke, but I guess it will depend on how he recovers fully from Saturday's crash.
  4. I believe Darcy Ward has intimated there is no stream available as all 4 rounds have a 'one hour TV highlights' package agreed! Happy to be corrected if inaccurate.
  5. Did it say 'limited numbers of guarantees'? Or just 'limited guarantees' - meaning the financial amount?
  6. If they all ride consistently to their ability then that looks a strong team.
  7. And its not just what he does on track, its his positivity and experience in the pits.
  8. I think the references to Glasgow go back to the Promo video they published a few seasons ago when they said that speedway was costing them at least £100k a season and they would be expecting to win a trophy/league/cup for that expenditure.
  9. Luke Becker won it with a 15 point maximum apparently. Don't know the other positions/scores - can anyone oblige?
  10. Its in the West Country so of course its a pain to get to!! Good luck to all concerned.
  11. probably budgeted for...hence the extra 'investment' for 2023!
  12. See the POOLE 2023 thread for the latest update on Tate's crash
  13. Update from Tate Zischke's mum : Tate is out of hospital and on his way back home to Queensland. He has NO broken bones and NO internal bleeding. He just cannot remember the final where he finished 3rd behind Fricke and Sedgeman, with Rew 4th. NB.Tate was the only rider to head Fricke in the meeting!!
  14. Update from Tate's mum: He is out of hospital. No broken bones. No internal bleeding. On his way back home to Queensland. Unfortunately he remembers nothing about finishing 3rd in the A Final!!!
  15. Some confusing info coming from Oz that Tate Zischke (or Sedgeman) crashed after crossing the finish line in the final.!?
  16. Yes some confusing reports coming from Gillman. Sorry for any misleading info. Hope all riders are safe and well.
  17. Good performance from Zach Cook in the Aussie Solo at Gillman. Not so good for Ben Cook whose bikes didn't arrive back from UK. Zischke and Rew both reached the final, won by Fricke.
  18. Shame Ben Cook couldn't take part as his bikes had not arrived back from UK. Also any news of Sedgman after his crash crossing the line in 2nd place in the final. Rumours are it was bad!!?
  19. Some less than good news coming out of Oz that Sedgy had a big crash after crossing the line in the final at Gillman which has ended his Aussie season!!
  20. Agree about the pain issue but you have to admit there have been problems at other clubs he has been at. Barker's an exciting rider to watch even if he can seem a little out of control on track at times. Hopefully his uncle Mark will keep an eye on him.
  21. Got mine today. As bsn explained it would be actually cheaper than this season had they not had to register for and add VAT.
  22. With Monday's local sports pages/airwaves likely to be full of World Cup stuff and local weekend footie reports as well as Monday being day one of the Pirates Dolphin Centre PR and merch fortnight, I would think a first rider announcement would be midweek at the earliest.
