  1. Track was different to last week -from a spectators viewpoint - with the expected rain around 4 ish not happening so the track staff watered the track late. It certainly caught the Poole riders out early on with Berwick taking advantage. NB. The Pirates were quoted that the track was in very good nick(?) and has been consistently good in recent weeks. Still only 3 last places for the Pirates - one e/f for Ben and one lost steel shoe for Adam - and only 2x 5-1s, but a much stronger performance by the Bandits. Still a decent crowd last night but imo not the same 'buzz' as the previous week!!
  2. Bomber said the track was fine last week - just the Glasgow riders werent!!
  3. It seems that the 'management' have gone with riders who are riding or have ridden in Poland
  4. The absence of Richard Lawson is a surprise as his Premiership average is only bettered by Bewley. The final 4 in the team will likely include Rowe as the track reserve.
  5. Its probably scribbled down on the back of a fag packet!!
  6. Well done to Brummies for agreeing to the fixture during the Danish 'break'!!
  7. Too high costs are the main problem in British speedway now!!
  8. If it is to be one league then I cannot see the fixed race nights remaining. The standard is more likely to be closer to Championship-Plus level, which may well mean that the SGP- level riders will either be shared out or more likely will not feature due to costs!
  9. I'm not sure the number 1 spot is as crucial this season. As far as Poole are concerned I would suggest they would be confident of the aggregate score over any of the top 5.
  10. Lets hope Zach has no after effects from his 'Bewley Bashing' into the home straight mesh fencing and smashed kick board last night!!
  11. Broken collarbone for Kerr, but with everyone bar Masters able to cover his rides, Oxford shouldn't be knocked off top spot any time soon - maybe later?!
  12. Great to hear Bomber's views of last Wednesday's meeting on the Official Speedway podcast. "Nothing wrong with the track, Poole were dialled in and we just didn't perform"!
  13. Pretty sure Zach Cook didn't simply fall off - totally t-boned on the finishing straight by an out-of-control Bewley (for which he did apologise to Zach!)
  14. ,,as he is a BSPL Board Director rather than just Sheffield promoter! If not him, BSPL will appoint someone - Had Danny Ford not been away at the moment It would probably have been him as the most 'independent' one on the board!!
  15. If it wasn't for bad luck, Plymouth would have no luck at all!!
  16. So rumour has it that Scunny are using Ben Cook to guest for MPT? With Poole awaiting the winners of this in the final, I guess Ben's performance might depend on who Poole prefer to meet most/least in the final?!
  17. I think the most interesting discussion point is likely to be how many times TJ, Flint and former Pirate Schlein can beat current Poole heat leaders Lawson, Worrall and Cook?
  18. Not entirely sure as haven't seen the report yet, but it involved some kind of altercation with one of the opposition riders who got a yellow card!! Update: apparently after Heat 8 in which Steve scored his 2+1, there was some off-track argument with Oscar Polis. Steve hit him and Polis responded with a kick and the ref dished out the red and yellow cards (probably a Glasgow fan?)
  19. Doesn't seem a lot of interest in this fixture despite BSN streaming it LIVE tomorrow? Plymouth Promoters are always praising their track for the great racing(?), so it'll be interesting to see how both teams get on?! Both teams look to be at full strength, so........ Any thoughts or interest?
  20. Let's hope Steve Worralls Polish Red card yesterday doesn't affect him too much.
  21. TMS and the highlights of this Ashes series have been the best way to get the fantastic atmosphere.
