  1. Nice and sunny today with a bit of light breeze. Track staff have done a brilliant job this morning. Possibly a very light drizzle around 5pm ish but other wise dry. First time on home track as a team for a while plus some new pairings and Anders with his scabby hand! I'm going for 49-41.
  2. Tate scored 7+1 for the U24 Leszno team today
  3. Having worked for BCP Council (which is now under a new administration) for over 16 years, I have some understanding of how the forward-planning for major schemes works. BCP have inherited from the previous administration a 'Local Plan' for the 'regeneration of Poole Town Centre', which currently does NOT mention Poole Stadium at all - except for an earlier suggestion about building on the part of Wimborne Road which backs onto the Stadium Lorry Park. Also there is no developer proposal lodged with the Council's Planning department, quite apart from no agreed sale of the whole Stadium site!! Such an agreement and proposal would be subject to a huge public consultation for which there would be considerable objections IMO even if all those objections were to be overcome and any stadium development for housing were to proceed, it would take a minimum of several years to reach fruition.
  4. Reading the whole article rather than just the headline, Matt Ford expects to continue for at least the next 2 years! The future of Poole Stadium will unlikely be decided until late 2024 at the earliest. Thereafter if its then announced that the site is to become housing it will take at least a year - probably longer - to deal with all the protests, approve a scheme and price, agree a developer/builder etc.
  5. Changes in the riding order for the Panthers with Worrall at 2 and Cook at 4. Basso(3) and Cook(4) riding as a pair should make for some interesting racing!!??
  6. There is an article re Rye House in this week's Star, confirming what has been stated by others on here. At least there seems to now be constructive dialogue between all parties
  7. Well Redcar do have an individual meeting tomorrow!!
  8. Maybe should have held it at King's Lynn again if your track prep is still an issue?!
  9. Maybe his preference for British speedway now rather than Sweden is down to the increased chances of getting paid what he's contracted for?????
  10. As Chris Louis has already clarified, certain riders were/are only contracted to League and KO Cup meetings. Doyle would have been in the Ippo pairing if his Polish fixture had not been rearranged for today after the weekend rain-off! I thought you would be pleased to be hosting a 'final' after last season!! 3 SGP riders including your own - whats not to get excited about?!
  11. Just seen the latest weather forecast for Friday!! When will Glasgow decide to call it off?
  12. So as expected Lawson to 1 and presumably Worrall to 5 for July. Others stay the same.
  13. You misunderstand. Not worried, no panic. Just pointing out its not unusual for Poole to have a mid-season lull before going on to win things!
  14. So if Poole do lose on Friday, will that then constitute a 'lull' in their form?
  15. Crikey, a younger person following our sport?! That must be a plus............!
  16. I do apologise. Seeing your name pop up, I'm never sure what thread it is?!
  17. Can I keep this quote for future reference, as and when required?!
  18. Artem rode Poole for Steve Worrall's testimonial - Poole not exactly a huge track - and scored a 4-ride max.
  19. The disappointment is the size of the defeat, bearing in mind previous results at Oxford this season have been a win by 3 points and a loss by only 2 points! No body is saying Poole should have won but the overall scoreline was disappointing and caused the Poole promotion to comment accordingly - taking nothing away from Oxford, the team in form whereas Poole had a blip as in June 2022.
  20. Maybe 'lull' is the wrong word?! But public comments from Danny Ford and Middlo after the Oxford scoreline would suggest the management is treating it seriously as unacceptable!
