More a case of maintaining 7 clubs in the Prem I guess. Surely his brief is to make the Prem look more 'professional' for TV?!

They had to run Premiership because the greyhound stadium leaseholders would only let speedway run on Mondays. Morris/BSPL gave them some sort of incentive to run in Prem rather than not at all as BSPL wouldn't let them run Championship on Mondays.

Don't know why this is on the Poole '25 thread. Poole riders always do the 'celebratory' lap with wheelies, donuts, burnouts, waving to the fans etc etc.😇

Apparently he had a big falling out with the Oxford management when he didn't take his place in the U.19 championships, the day after the Cheetahs v Pirates play off on the Saturday.

Well his dad owns Leicester speedway so I guess he's based around there. Will has made it clear he won't sign for his dad's team!!

The Poole stand was done by a very well known and established Poole fan to showcase his collection of Poole racesuits, bibs, jackets, prog boards etc as the show was straight after Poole's end-of-season party and presentations on Friday night and immediately before their trophy-winning Las Vegas reward trip.

Just a thought - those clubs that choose to start their season at Easter might not be starting their'meaningful' fixtures til end April/ early May, which makes it easier to manage meetings up to end June for Cairns!?
