Peterborough Panthers 2014

Last year it was only those Season Ticket Holders who were willing to pay around double the price of a normal season ticket. -

Easy to make such a judgement but take a look at the number of sponsors including individuals who paid more than double the price of the basic season ticket. TheseST holders were allowed them to park inside the Showground - good business for the Panthers. Add Blue Badges, track staff, catering/bar staff, stewards etc. and the numbers of freebies might not be so many. Regardless of the number of freebie it was Frost's choice as he was clearly picking up the bill! -

Thank you. I'd taken the information from the 2014 Official Teams thread. Will do my own sums in future! Thought it strange to be so much under! -

nice 1-7 but with 1.37 points to spare an opportunity to improve at reserve? If so who? -

Check out the Evening Telegraph - you have your answer! Should Mick Horton demand and apology for your abrasive post? Perhaps you'll offer one before he demands it! -

With something like 7.7 available I would guess many panthers fans will be hoping for a rider with a better average than North's 6.5. -

If he is the team will be over a point short of the maximum. Surely the Panthers would have opted for a stronger reserve pairing if Hall in the team? -

Can't say I've read every post on this thread but the welcome for Panthers from other PL fans has been top class! -
Bbc Sports Personality Of The Year
Irk Deflector replied to Grand Central's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Very sporting!!! Sorry, couldn't resist. Sport - the closest to an International definition of Sport is provided by SportAccord. Their criteria; Must have an element of competition Must not harm animals Not rely on equipment supplied by one manufacturer Not rely on any luck being built into the sport. They consider Chess to be a sport, seems fair that Darts should qualify! -

Just looked at the profile and 2013 achievements of the 10 contenders - Tai should have no complaints and the BSPA should focus on the 2014 season. -
If anything Sky should consider discounts for those who watch Speedway! Current viewing figures are awful!

British Speedway Promoters Meeting
Irk Deflector replied to dantodan's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Recruiting 2 riders per team from cycle speedway! What the **** do they think National League riders will do? Would have done better to be radical and have 5 man teams without reserves! -
Just got back from the meeting! Stayed in Poole for the weekend then trip round Cornwall for the rest of the week. Enjoyed the meeting, well presented, some good racing, Bomber was unlucky in his last 2 races which were re-run after he was well placed and most of all enjoyed the company of the Poole fans sat near us! Not all of them are like Shovlar! lol

Zagar wasn't clear of Emil he lifted and took the Russian out - just my view! -
IMO the cheapest tickets should be £20 to £25 max with proportionate reductions on the higher value tickets. All BSI seem to have done is push fans in to the higher tiers with their price hikes, the result being more spaces at track/middle tier level than ever was the case! Do BSI use the British GP to subsidise other GP events? Just a thought!
