  1. Good to see Lewis doing some community work before the meeting. http://lewisbridger.com/news
  2. Do check out this competition to spend some time with Lewis Bridger http://www.gofundme.com/277bhg Here the winner from his competition last year, talks about the time she spent with Lewis as her prize; Had a brilliant evening at Lakeside Hammers vs. Bellevue Aces as Lewis' guest after my competition win in April. Both Lewis and Ian were brilliant hosts and I was well looked after through out my visit. I met Lewis and Ian for tea in the Stadium Cafe and we had a brief chat. Then Lewis took me on a personal track walk and explained a bit about track preparation and how the riders approach a heat. We chatted a bit about speedway in general as well then went to the pits so Lewis could introduce me to his mechanic and talk me through some of the preparations he makes to the bike before a meeting. Lewis then got ready for the meeting whilst Ian and I went to the pit wall to await the start. After 5 heats I was brought on to the centre green and watched 4 heats from there including the rerun that Lewis won. It was an exciting meeting full of thrills and spills and I thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. I would like to thank both Lewis and Ian once again for the opportunity and ask all the Lakeside Hammers fans to continue to support Lewis throughout the remainder of the season and beyond.
  3. From Lewis website www.lewisbridger.com/news I am delighted to announce that today I have agreed terms to return to the Lakeside Hammers for the 2014 speedway season. I am excited by the team that Jon and Stuart are putting together and to be part of their plans for the future. I would like to thank all of the Lakeside fans for their support and I will be doing my best to bring you the trophy that you deserve next season. Roll on 2014, I can't wait! #hammertime #RICO

  5. Don't you have to have a licence to ride abroad? I though that if you were British, this was only issued to you if you rode in the Elite League?
  6. IF Tai does not ride in the Elite League next season, would that not prevent him getting a licence to ride in Poland and/or Sweden?
  7. So the Team GB riders still haven't even been paid their costs for the SWC, it's no surprise that certain riders make themselves unavailable!
  8. From Lewis's website www.lewisbridger.com/news "A lot of people are asking me if I will be riding for Lakeside again next season. At the moment it is too early to make any promises, as everyone needs to wait and see what happens with the structure of the league. But If I was to continue racing in the UK next season, Lakeside would be my first choice club."
  9. Some very honest comments from Lewis tonight on The Speedway Tavern! https://soundcloud.com/#the-speedway-tavern Have a listen to his thoughts on the SWC, Play Offs, Poland, The Euros, GP's and much more!
  10. I'm sorry, nothing against Tai but how did he get "approval" to ride in the European Championship, when at least three (that I know of) British riders were not permitted to take part? It does sound a bit like one rule for one, one for the rest!
  11. Good to see Lewis Bridger's recent form being recognised with some bookings to ride for Grindsted in the Danish league this week! http://www.lewisbridger.com/news
  12. How many riders would have taken part in the Semi Finals IF they had known beforehand that there was no opportunity for them to have a chance of qualifying for Cardiff? How many riders will even bother with the British Final next year?
  13. Lewis scores a maximum on his debut for ZKS ROW Rybnik, in a comprehensive home win over MIR Equal, in the Polish league today!
  14. Having seen the results, I'm sure that the top 3 or 4 Brits (excluding GP rider Woffinden) would have been competitive in this field and some of the younger riders (maybe not Harris or Nicholls) would have benefited from the experience.
  15. I appreciate that this is a GP thread, but if you look at Lewis Bridger's website (www.lewisbridger.com), kevlars and bike covers, you will see that he has 20 sponsors for 2013. This was due to a lot of effort by Lewis and his team over the winter, but it just goes to show that if you make the effort, you get the reward!
  16. I'm stunned to read that Rosco has been appointed the Australian U21 Team Manager! In my view Rosco is the best Team Manger in the country, his passion for the sport and how he gets the best out of his riders is second to none. I cannot believe that the BSPA have allowed this to happen. How long will it be until he is managing the full Aussie team?
  17. Very interesting! The next step will be that either the BSPA will prevent English riders riding for Polish clubs or quite simply the Polish clubs will not employ British riders. This is one "war" the BSPA is not going to win! And could you blame them?
  18. I understand that the British riders are "being withdrawn". Should we not be encouraging our riders to compete as much possible? It's begining to sound a lot like the UK Speedway Series to me!
  19. How do you convert an EL average to a PL average?
  20. Less than two weeks until the first Semi Final and still we don't know who will be riding where!
  21. But when will we actually know who's rding in which Semi?
  22. Really surprised at the lack of bids, both items end tomorrow night. #backthebrits
