Let me draw a line under this......the promotion have my full support, I think they are doing a brilliant job, a real breath of fresh air. I look forward to my Thursday nights as much as any Sheffield speedway man, and would defend our club to the hilt. Was just pointing a small, very small point out regarding the programme, which as a club could make us look a little unprofessional , something that could easily be rectified. Sheffield speedway has the potential to be the biggest & best ,not only in the Premier league, but in the country. Let's do it right!

Absolutely no problem with the promotion, they are doing a great job, it was just a comment on the programme that's all. Why not give us it free until they get the content and grammar right then. ;-)

Just been down to Owlerton to watch the ' Air fence Bonanza' and until the obligatory rain came was really enjoying it. But I have to say we paid £2 for a program and what a complete rip off. Ok if you want to charge for a programme please put a little content into it. Very unprofessionally written and full of grammatical errors. Why not get it proof read it before printing. So please, either go back to the race card or if you wish to charge for a programme be a little more professional. Thanks for saving the club though!!

Just a quicky on the stewards.... I remember the PLRC in 2012 when Rene Bach took a pretty horrific tumble, he was taken to the medical room, seen too, left, then tried to get back in! He was stopped by a steward as he was walking back in and given some right abuse. Rene told the steward who he was, and the steward basically squared up to him, and said ' Listen, I don't give a F--- who you are, F--- off.' Absolute disgrace..!

Can see why Facu is not coming back, great prospect but the cost and complications of trying to get a rider here with only a 3+ average simply isn't worth it! nice to give a young Brit the opportunity this year. When I say 'get a rider here' I mean from abroad by the way!

If it's going to be a programme please be reasonable....£15 is, in my opinion is fair for admission,but when you are bringing your 17 year old son who isn't earning (school) then add on the price of a programme eg £2-£4, a bit of parking and we're talking nearly £40 a meeting! That makes it a pricey evening, not only that the majority of supporters don't want the programme, the race card is a much better option, everyone gets one and fills it in, instead of passing a programme around. PROMOTION....listen to your supporters!

Ok, if we have nothing to talk about why don't we speculate as to who the new consortium consists of? I wouldn't be surprised if the Hunters from SWC are one of the parties along with Wosscow Brown.....pure speculation though.

It's ok saying Joe didn't pass a great deal of success passing on his experience to the youngsters at Glasgow, but he also had to set up all his own equipment, and get himself organised for riding at meetings. I think it's a great appointment personally, managing a speedway team isn't as involved as being a football manager. No fantastic appointment. A statement of intent.

'Wheres a max coming from'? .....errrr Lets have a think, possibly Simon Stead, maybe even Adam Roynon, and even Leigh Lanham might pop a few Max's too!...

Would've thought he'd base himself nearer to Manchester if he was Belle Vue bound, what with airports etc....IMO

Like Lanham and his professionalism, would be a great No 4..........Not 100% sure he would be an out and out heat leader for us, but I do stand to be corrected on that.

Sheffield might be Nicks only option in the Premier, but what an option! Best set up in British speedway!! Give the lad a break, he's still a Swindon asset , there's been a major cock up somewhere along the line completely out of Nicks hands. Let him ride for us this season along with Leicester (rumoured) and fit him back into the Swindon set up next season. As for loaning us Steady, did Swindon really want him??

Agree with charlieboy about Richard but surely with a top 3 of Stead, Roynon and Morris, Rich wouldn't have the pressure of 'Heat leader' on his shoulders. Got to be one of the best No.4s out there.

I would love to see Nick Morris join us, what an exciting top 3 that would be!! Steady, Royno and Morris...Stick Andre and Rich Hall in at 2 & 4 with Facu and an up and coming Brit ie Jake Knight in at reserve that would do for me! Maybe not a championship winning side but not far off it, and guaranteed excitement whilst also packing the team with mainly British talent. Hope Swindon appreciate Nick Morris' dilemma, and let him join us...Is he anSwindon asset?

Ricky is a great signing for us, make no mistake. The Sheffield fans really need to get behind him and show him support! Because of the slow start last season( don't forget he was riding for Plymouth the season before, on a totally different track),the Sheffield fans didn't take him to there hearts, he was expected to produce straight away and obviously he didn't really do that! By the second half of the season he looked a different rider. As for the new deal, we are all within our rights to negotiate, the only problem for Ricky is that it came out in the press! Don't knock him for stalling on the deal, nobody knows for sure the real ins and outs of that situation. Time to get behind him. Good luck Ricky!

Personally I think Ricky deserves to be on the same deal as last season. We mustn't forget that he came to us from Plymouth, a totally different track to ours, and it was always going to take time for him to make all the set up changes, and get used to the track etc. Towards the latter half of the season he improved enough to be given another go with us

After reading all the above comments , why don't we all chip in and buy Ricky Wells' equipment and gift it to Chris Shramm! Problem for the final place solved..

Time to stop getting stressed about ' how poor OUR team is' ! For starters how do we really know how bad it going to be? Think of the positives. Stead back with us, how good will that be watching him rip up the opposition. The new lads, Koppe, Aldin.. These two might, just might be a couple of real gems! Joe Haines, he will up his average no doubt about it! And Richard Hall, why has everyone got a downer on him? Terrific racer round Owlerton! 110%er , Tiger through and through, lays it on the line!

Funny you should say that Andrew, I was talking to a fella today who has been going for 50 odd years and he thinks the same, no season ticket info, all gone quiet on the Thursday/Sunday debate, no confirmation of final team etc etc. Hope not!

I reckon the promotion , because of the 'anti' Hall brigade,dont want to announce Richards appointment yet. And as for Ricky, I simply feel he is not completely comfortable about a return to Sheffield, due to some of the stick he took from some of the supporters last season, unfair stuck in my opinion. Both decent lads !
