  1. Right! Let me put the record straight!Patronising? Richard always performs well at Owlerton and has always made it clear he loves the place, doesn't live a million miles away, and nearly joined us last year, (if Steady hadn't put pen to paper then it was nailed on, fact). He probably will join you up there, good luck to him. My point was simple, loves our place, lives close, get my point now? Spin king...enlighten me on your comment!
  2. Keep hearing Glasgow but not happened yet! Can't see the sense in that move for him, specially if Sheffield want him?
  3. Sheffield! Team up with his best mate Steady!
  4. Could you imagine a team consisting of all Sheffield Riders! 1. Steady 2.Ben Wilson 3.Ash Birks 4 ? 5.? 6. James Sargeant 7. Josh Bates (near enough) Help me out with 4 & 5 .
  5. Totally agree regarding the Elite league, not yet anyway. If the club can generate the cash needed to compete, in the elite league along with the promotions budget, why not use that funding to get the best the premier can offer, obviously whithin the averages, then go out a completely dominate the league.
  6. What about; 1. Stead 2. Poole 3.Proctor/Wolbert 4.Birks 5. Allen 6.Wilson 7.Bates
  7. This was a great meeting....big thumbs up,to the promotion, great feel good factor, two excellent guests in Wolbert and Ash (don't think that's the last time we'll see Ash riding for us, watch this space). Any news on Josh anyone?
  8. Interested to read the negative comments on here about Ash Birks...... I would happily have him back at a Sheffield, fresh start and all that..!
  9. No rider in our league could replace Simon, but when he is missing there is no better replacement than Lawson, I for one was convinced he would be riding for us this season, love to have him in our side permanently, (not in place of Steady though).
  10. So, what do we all think about paying two quid for the programme insert to go in to the original programme we also payed Two quid for? Come on promo, public relations and all that.
  11. Be interesting to see if the Promo act as swiftly with there freind Procter as they did with Roynon.
  12. All kicking off on Facebook! Poole slagging England off! He probably knows his time here is up! Que Mr Richard Hall??
  13. Got a feeling we might, before too long be seeing Rich Hall back at Owlerton.
  14. Absolutely loved Facu as a rider, and as a human being but can't really understand why you would go to the trouble of bringing him over, (cost etc) just score us a few points here and there. That is no slight on Facu at all, if he was based and settled here I wouldn't hesitate in getting him in.
  15. Why do we always have to wait for these 'big' announcements.? Would be great if Steady was to be our asset (Mr Sheffield speedway anyway),would also be good if Josh were to be our asset too, but not really 'big' announcements just speedway news.
  16. To be fair, they might be looking at Poole's performances.
  17. Gutted for Adam, I really am, after all the lad has been through too. But to be fair he doesn't seem to be the 'swash buckling' Adam Roynon of old, and you can't really blame him, but take that away from him and you take a lot of 'Adam Roynon' IMO. Would defiantly not have dropped him though. If I were him I would consider my option as regards to another club, surly he will have a number to choose from. As for Proctor, I just don't know, time will tell. Hasn't he got links somewhere along the line to the new consortium??
  18. Who's responsible for these prats! Squaring up to riders, and there dads!!! Absolutely disgraceful! From the moment those riders enter the stadium (from both teams) till they leave, they are the gods, and to be treated like that by talentless morons is disgusting....the last thing they need after putting their necks on the line is that.
