  1. The playoffs are purely for the tv. League champions should be decided on the full league program and the playoffs should be a separate end of season competition. That way the best team would win the league.
  2. It's not just about winning the league it's about watching exciting speedway at Owlerton. We didn't win the league in 2011 but watching Auty Parker and Ashworth was breathtaking. I think some people might be supprised once the tapes go up. P.S. New Years resolution the glass is half full!
  3. I think Leicester have 4 heat leaders next year so it takes the pressure off the other 3 riders. It only needs one of those 3 to have a good meeting and I can't see them loosing too many matches. It will be interesting to see how all the assessed 5 pointers do this year as we seem to be getting more and more and less British youngsters given a chance.
  4. I've been reading all these negative comments for months now and finally got around to becoming a member so I could post. Bringing assessed average riders in is always a gamble but isn't it better to bring an assessed 5 pointer in who has the ability to improve than a journeyman 5 pointer. Damien Koppe finished an open meeting at Redcar last year with 4 wins and got the rider of the night for his all action style. Berwick fans were gutted when Faku Albin signed for Sheffield so they rate him AND have seen him race. Jake Knight comes in on a 3 point average has top equipment and a top mentor so he will only get better. Give these lads a chance because being so negative will only harm their confidance before a wheel is turned. As for Neil Machin after 20 years he is still dipping his hand in his pocket while many others have taken the money and run. Some of you need to get in the real world.
