Yes, Rene is an asset of P'boro. Im not aware he has been made available. Lawson is not a P'boro asset. I suspect the 2/20 rule is the reason for this, prelim plans went out of the window for many teams. I suspect Dakota North may be at reserve this year if Lawson is not in. Would be happy with that, using one of our own young assets.

Correct, he would need witnesses to confirm this verbal agreement. Also, would it be wise to include a rider who clearly wants away. The system is clearly not working in the present financial climate. Time to scrap the asset system and make riders free agents to sign 1 or 2yr contracts, with a loan fee system for assets that were purchased, winding down to a time when the purchase fees have been recouped. Freeing up transfer and loan fee monies would surely ensure the future of domestic speedway, which is what we all want.

A written contract is legally binding, a vebal agreement is legally binding although hard to prove without a witness. A conversation about terms is not legally binding, it is negoiation. Until both parties agree on terms in writing or verbally, it is not a contract.
